Ha, I did that a few times 2 weeks ago riding with Revvy and his honey, I pulled the front end up twice while a cruizer was coming in the other direction, thankfully revvy must have been a blocker and the cops did not see it! Phew.....

A few years ago I was not so lucky, I was pissed and lost in Brighton looking for my cousins B-Day bash at a bar.
1st mistake I pulled an illegal U-turn, 2nd I pulled a wheely. 3rdly all right in front of a cop! It was dark his lights were off and I never saw him till I was vertical right next to him...

Needless to say blues came on, I imediately pulled over and shut the bike off and removed mt helmet. The cop was very cool with me, I said I am real sorry I was aggrivated and lost. He gave me a warning and gave me directions to where I needed to go! Sweet!

Hey Revvy tell us about the time in.. was it Hopkinton Or Upton ?in a school zone??

Kinda had a close call today as well. I was about 1 mile down from where Soco went down....crusing at a decent clip. Hit something in the road (bump I think) and the front end shook like a mutha. Lucky for me I was on the throttle and once it started to shimmy I gave it a little more and came out of it. I was so glad that I wasn't rolling off the throttle. That would have sucked big time.

Tank slapper it sounds like! I never experienced it but a steering stabalizer might be a wise investment for ya! If the RC didn't have one I know I would have seen a few slappers today on rt 32..

talk about stabilizer, even though the new honda 1000RR doesn't seem to look as good as R1 it would sure nice to have that electronic stabilizer and the dual injectors just sound so hightech, it got me thinking about it. even the zx6rr is doing dual injectors for next yr.

fuck i did it again around noon today. popped a small one, about a foot, right in front of him. he just looked at me like he doesnt know what the fuck's going on. i slow down, hit a pothole, bottom out the fork, look back, didn't see him turn around, then took off. got lucky i guess.

it was a good day so far. went to pick up my service manual in Quincy and went throu blue hill 3 times and manage to get my left foot, not the knee, to touch down. must be pretty close to the peg? im good for the day. will do it again tomorrow if weather stays like this. no cars during the day. nice.

Depends if your foot was on the peg or not.

On a related note, at a stoplight today I got both feet to touch the ground.

A private parking lot is the best place for it. Riding long wheelies down the road or even in parking lots will lead to crashing...eventually. Buy an older beater bike if you want to wheelie. I would avoid the wheelies.

Pretty soon you'll be hangin with Brian and Chauncey, Kham!

Keep in mind: road rash heals faster than a revocation, look before you legally leap(cell phones are everywhere).

Seriously, I'd try to hook up with Brian_C6 for some friendly how to(s).

Kham is your suspension set way too loose or something?

Hard to imagine you bottoming your fork unless you were jumping that 600 off skateboard ramps or something!
