Winter gloves?

I just bought the Rev It Fusion GTX (REV'IT! Fusion GTX Gloves - RevZill)

I had to get it in a size smaller than I normally would. If they fit, I'll let you know how they do. $180...they'd better be great!

But a size smaller? Last I checked rev it stuff was tiny. I got an extra large top and it was skin tight. Also found the gloves tiny.

I can say the exkin in the winter elites was useless.

Oh ok just read about the revits. They are made for use with heated grips so don't think they are what I want.

Yeah, I was 90% certain they'd be too small, but I wanted these specific gloves and they were out of L and XL.

Anyway, they're too small, but they seem awesome. They're called out as good for heated grips, but the palms aren't as thin as gloves that usually say that. I have two "winter" bikes and one has heated grips and one doesn't. Got an email alert set up for when they're back in stock in L.

This winter glove chase would be brutal if it was very cold. As it is I can wear my super inexpensive bilt gloves daytime and the fieldsheer eskimo gloves I usually wear. So far nothing has come close to them warmth wise.

I did break down and get heated grip covers but haven't received them yet.

I use Oakley 3 grips. (really old guys may remember them from BMX bikes)

I even went to a local dealer to look at some astars and Icons but they were not warm. The guy at the shop heard I had the fieldsheer eskimos and said "oh, yeah, these are no where near as warm as those".

The search goes on.....

I've never even heard of heated grip covers before...going to look into those now.

The ICON Patrol gloves (originals) are really great for the price point and would satisfy the needs 98% of riders, but I don't think that's up.

Motorcycle Superstore had those Rev'it gloves in L and XL, so those are on their way to me now.

This is what I ordered. Yes mad cheap but I really don't think the engineering going into something this simple is super costly.

Got some Chinese heated seat covers for my truck and they are amazingly good for 15 clams each.

Some bark busters and mitts are probably worth a few hundred bucks in glove tech.. I ride in some cold weather and the wind is what gets my fingers every time. I use a pair of Joe Rockets and throw some liners in when it hits the 30's, also had an eye out for something better so checking out some of the suggestions here

Now that we have a snowmobilator, the Scott gloves are up in NH so I need another pair of cold weather gloves. Been riding the WR250R this winter so no heated grips. Twisted Throttle only has one winter liner. Revzilla has both winter MC and Snowmobile gloves, with about 100 different choices.

Any SNH Snowmobile dealers with good selection?

OK, preliminary review of two Held gloves, the Freezer II ($149) and Arctic ($129). The full leather construction of the Freezer II seems like it will be a lot more durable so I'm sending the Arctics back.

Freezer II is all leather exterior with a GoreTex membrane and Primaloft insulation. They are the size of a good insulate ski glove, with a medium gauntlet. Good full-length wiper on left index finger.

The Arctic has a lot more fabric and a hard scapula protector. It is only slightly lighter. The show stopper for me was the wiper, which was half the length of the one on the Freezer.

Handlebar mitts make a HUGE difference. I use the mitts from Storm Industries, but those ebay links that Kawi Ken posted look like they'd do the job for very little money.

Also, I always wear thin glove liners inside my gloves. You have to have enough room in your gloves as someone said, though. These from Cycle Gear are good FREEZE-OUT Inner Glove Liners - Cycle Gear

I have the original Held Freezer gloves and can vouch on them being the warmest non-electric motorcycle gloves I have had. That being said, they are slightly bulky even for winter gloves.
