Jesus Christ, you must really kill it at parties. I opined on the idiocy of riding at 6 degrees, I opine on the idiocy of stunting. I opine on the idiocy of heroin and meth. I don't do any of those things, but have the audacity to opine on them. Stuff the trophy up your vagina.
Stop making his point for him, dad.

I stepped up in post #2.
I also had to look up irascible. It does not describe my mood, persona, or any aspect of my existence.

We haven't even gotten into proper winter yet and winter already sucks.
Which makes me so grateful for these threads.
as for single digit riding, we have a cold weather challenge going every year (vintage scooter community) I have ridden in 0ºF, at that temp funny things happen to the bike, carbs freeze, levers get stuck... not to mention no traction from tires
Rode my TL1000S in some extreme cold (teens) and I was getting unexpected wheel spin all the time, extra power+no traction = not something I enjoy or recommend.
20's you still can catch occasional ice patch
30's safer, still not enjoyable
40's I can go for a while
50's I'll ride ALL DAY LONG!
It appears that despite your generational superiority neither you nor Gizzer72 The Vitriolic recognize when you are being trolled. Must make more frequent use of
I mean nothing by anything written and take no offense. I sincerely hope DucatiGuy gets his bike without difficulty. It's just the Interwebz, in Winter.

Great video. That pouring gas part was very emotional.
I was all against riding in the wintertime for my short years I have been riding for. I fell in the side of the line that it was just too cold and people who rode in the winter are just plain crazy.
I started a new job in the summer time and got inspired by one lady there who rode her rebel 250 year round. She said the key is layering. I haven't put my bike away yet this year and have been riding pretty frequently.
I have been wearing thermals, street clothes, my leathers and then a winter coat over my riding gear. I have been warm enough in this to be comfortable on 20 degree days. I would suggest taking a couple rides here before you go and see how you feel in whatever you are wearing.
New Years Day 140 mile-
Base layer = Wicking long sleeve T, THEN Gerbings heated vest.Next Hot Chilli's fleece or thermal long sleeve.Next heavy weight shirt & Leather Jacket w/lining/armor .
Lower=Hot chillis fleece long johns & Leather pants. Heated Gerbing insoles in boots, don't care for wires running down pant legs but they work.On hands just 3 finger mittens.
Pretty comfortable.
Headed out right now !

The Dumb Way Round | Bike EXIF
they came to IMS show on their way trough US, talked to one of them at the show, which was in January, and they rode in to the show through Minnesota and other frozen states
