How so? Seriously now, which of these random "crash" threads has ever helped someone be a better, safer rider? I've only seen them do more harm than good...just look at what this thread has turned into.

I read them, it serves as a reminder to me that shit does happen. I believe the stats, but seeing the cases reinforce it. As a new rider, I also pay attention to what the popular causes are. Prior to reading around NESR, I was unaware how frequent the left-hand turn crash was. Now I'm trying to train myself to watch for it and make it a habit for my eyes.

This thread's become a cluster fuck, and I still think a sticky dedicated to the topic would keep things to a minimum. One thread to avoid for those who don't like it, and one single point to read up on all 'events'.

Really? I simply asked a question because you were complaining about being exposed to something you don't want to be exposed to, and acting as if it is the responsibility of those doing the exposing to keep you protected. I'm not trying to be uncivil, I'm trying to understand the thought process. You recognize that it's your own personal responsibility to avoid the things that you don't like, but then you complain when others allow you to be exposed to those things. It just doesn't make sense.

I want to say sorry for even thinking that a " hey guys be careful" or a "that sucks" type of post turned out to be this.

JESUS CHRIST, PEOPLE! IT'S SIMPLE! JUST USE SOME FUCKIN DISCRETION!

Bunch of sensitive babies on here...
No one's saying you're not allowed to post this shit, but if it's got no fucking WORTH then DON'T FUCKIN BOTHER.
We all know riding is dangerous... if the whole point of posting a death is to let us know it's dangerous, then DON'T FUCKIN BOTHER.
If the point is to see if anyone knew the rider, chances are pretty high that if we did, WE WOULD ALREADY KNOW! SO DON'T FUCKIN BOTHER.
But... if there's a unique aspect that's actually worth discussing and learning from, then by all means... depress us while you try and educate us.

Someone, somewhere, at some time, died on a motorcycle while you posted that. RIP
