I finally got around to putting on my new rear sets on my bike, and I'm going to replace the banjo bolt with a pressure switch bolt for the rear brake light.
Since I'm going to flush/fill/bleed the rear brake anyway... should I upgrade the line to SS? or is it not worth it for the rear brake?
The fronts are still stock.

I wouldn't, I have had rubber on all of my race bikes. The front upgrade is a huge difference. Do the front.

Yeh, just do the fronts. The only reason I can see doing the rear line in SS is for the bling factor.

I'd replace just beacuse 2 year from now you'l have to replace it anyway rubber detioriorates...SS doesnt.
hmmmm......
I asked the same question to an accomplished racer and they told me that not only do they keep rubber on the back, they introduce small volume a bit of air (sponge) into the rear system, so that you basically can stand on the rear brake without locking the rear wheel as easily.

the difference SS lines makes under hard breaking in the front is amazing, and I can't imagine having them on the rear ... I would surely lock it up every time

Guess it depends on your feel. Some racers put in air bubbles, I would think this would be an inconsistant feel. Some shave out part of the brake pad. I put a braided line on my rear, bleed all the way out. Only time I use it I'm on the gas anyways and it gives a great feel, lets me scrub off some speed if I need to when I'm close in a corner at heavey lean.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
