Crazy deals... What should I expect?

Going to run into the local Triumph dealership after work today for a look at a Daytona 675 which is "an early 09 leftover" and was told I would be given a "screaming deal" on it.

That being said, what should I expect on a sticker price of $9,999??? Any thoughts before I go strong-arming and making an ass of myself?

As much as I would like to be the one to sell it to you, you should first check the Triumph website. The factory promos are posted there. Currently, there is only a finance promo on the 675.

Yeah, I did notice that. 0 Down; 0 Interest; 0 payments for 6 months then a 7.99% APR.

I wasn't sure if there was anything the dealer would throw on top of that to get it off the floor if it's been sitting there since the 08 season (I'm assuming this as it's an early 09 model).

Am I getting ahead of myself here???

And, I am down that way over Christmas weekend. Perhaps I'll stop in to Precision. Have you opened the Triumph section yet?

The official spot is not open, but we are still able to sell bikes and stuff. Swing on down. We can see what we can do.

My advice is go in and get the lowest price you can from the dealer ur going into today. Keep trying to talk them down and once you get your lowest price tell them its too high for a year old bike and walk out. Go back a week or so later and see what they can do. They need to sell it more than u need it.

Or go to precision and support a forum member

But remember if you go to precision, pay the sticker price and add 1000 to it because he's so nice!

I am liking the thought of helping out a forum member. Especially at a dealership I've driven by to get on the highway my whole life.

Definitely stopping in both places one way or the other.

If he has floor plan or needs cash he may move it for less than wholesale

I'd definitely recommend supporting a forum member when possible.

However I'll just add that the dealer I bought my 09 Sprint from (North River) has an 09 Special Edition Daytona. They are so sweet. He may give you a good deal on it, he's a good guy. You could tell him I sent you, he knows me pretty well now (PM me for info).

Re: Crazy deals... What should I expect?

Oh, I'm familiar with the SE. I've been eyeing that for some time. They had one at my local dealership for what seemed to be a total of 4 hours. I went in on a Friday, looked at it, felt it, touched it, loved it and it was sold by Saturday. The BS part about it is that it's still sitting in the dealership basement with a "sold" sign on it. I saw the bike in August. Whoever bought it didn't buy it to ride it apparently.

I'll PM you to get the info. Thanks for lookin out. I did, however, get a ridiculous quote from the dealership up here so I may be settling for one that isn't the SE. Unless, of course......
