GSXR sounded like the best for the street. Best street gearing, best protection from the elements, best stock seat. The big gixx held up well against the all new machines from the other manufs.I can't wait to see suzu take it up a notch next year.
Any guesses on whose most likely to be next years comparo king?

Good point. Most manufacturers fail to realize that 99.9 % of us riders will never really be able to differentiate between them on the street anyway. I feel if it's better on the street than the track, I'm all over it. I've never raced on a track...Hence the reason i still ride my 98 7R...

ZX10R lightest and most powerful. I read in CW this month, though, (Canet speaking?) that the R1 is the best streetbike. The full shootout is next month I think. They also said the Ninja put down more power than the other literbikes. My 105rwhp/70ft-lb bike is fun; I can only imagine what the 10R is like to ride. I imagine it involves very careful use of the throttle. I think I'd be worried about corner exits; but it sure would be fun to find out!

I've got 121 at the rear...I'm trying to imagine another 30 + HP and about a 70 pound weight loss...![]()

105 mph in first gear would seem to indicate that the bike is geared too high. However, I can only imagine what these bikes would ride like with lower gearing.![]()

Even though they would lose some top speed...IMAGINE what they'd GAIN everywhere else?????

Maybe too much, that might be why they did that...

I ride an 03 gix and I can't imagine something with more power and less weight.
YIKES

it's more than just hp and weight loss, it's the whole package.
just when you think it can't get any better, they take it too another level.

Hey Jim, you got a close up of that plate mount? Any chance the tire could rip it off there if the suspension compresses alot?
I started to make up something today for mine in the stock location but i just hate to hang anything from that clean looking ass![]()
I still have some trimming to do and add signals
Yamaha
i made the mount. it's mounted too the forward passengers peg bolt holes. it hasn't hit yet and i don't think it will. i wanted something clean, but wanted dot lights that could be seen in bright sunlight. i used the rear passengers peg bolt holes for the plate lights and the holes for the old plate mount for the rear camera mount.
here's another pic

Cool, thanks for the pictures.
How the hell did you get a tinted screen already? Everyplace i tried said either still in production or they're on backorder![]()
Yamaha

Cool, thanks for the link. I have one on order from LP and i'll call to see if they got a arrival date i guess![]()
I tried to come up with a way to mount the plate in the same location as yours but i don't want to get rid of the passenger pegs, and it "looks" a little close to getting chewed off by the tire for my comfort.
I almost finnished the one i made, just have to come up with a plate light, then send it to the powder coating shop. I took a picture but it's a little dark![]()
Yamaha
looks good. for lights i got some led plate lights from auto zone. they had a bunch of different led's to choose from. i didn't care about the rear pegs, i suppose if i really had to ride someone i could just take them on the tard.
btw: i did have to cut the plate down a bit.
