planning an all day ride in a week or 2, probably the 16th

start tba but early, 3:30-4:00 am

route tbd, will include a breakfast stop and a late lunch stop

miles 500+ maybe 800 or more

may not return till 9-10pm

route will include

highway
secondary state highway
town roads, county roads.... pavement AND gravel

last time I did a ride like this I left at 3:00am breakfast at the Bridge restaurant, lunch in Cazenovia, NY, ride included T*** road, Illion Gorge, Lincoln Gap, 870 miles, returned home @ 10pm

this time, I'm thinkin maybe a loop around Maine

I wouldn't expect or want more than 1 or 2

its a good way to get out of town before there is any traffic in the morning

fwiw, I don't go at an especially fast pace, but I rarely stop and gravel doesn't slow me down

Hardcore isn't the f'ing word for it! I'd need a nap after the first 300 miles...I'm guessing he's got a touring bike.

Randy knows & finds great routes! But there is always dirty roads in there somewhere!

In my eyes I still think of Randy as Mr. Atlas from our Deals Gap trips!
A lot of thanks to Randy for finding new secrets of the south for sweet twisties! I am now a fan of Topographical maps!
