very well put, i personally didn't assume they rode like jerks, but if they did turn out to (which it seems like they did?) and messed up, i just don;t want to be there for the cleanup and involintary skin grafts.

They we're harassing the bartenders at Margaritas when we stopped in Keene... I saw them order a couple margarits toos which in my book hard drinks is a no go.. I had one beer and that was one to many to be riding.

What they were wearing played only a part in my decision not to ride with them.

As I stated before, they were disrespectful to me the minute I pulled up since they were loudly laughing at me in my gear. Also, Chris was very confrontational when Mike spoke about not liking to ride with people without gear. I half figured that if we continued on with the rest of the group, a fight would have broken out.

As I said before, I wasn't in the mood to deal with the egos. If they weren't such dicks at the meeting spot, I might have given them a chance till they gave me reason to break from the group, though I do have to trust my instincts sometimes. The few large group rides that I've done have taught me to watch for certain riding attire and pre-ride attitudes. If there is something I don't like about someone, I won't ride with them.

But the fact is, they were dressed improperly for the ride, AND they were being dicks, along with my prior knowledge of Chris' style of riding, which all contributed to my personal decision to not ride with them.

I didn't realize nor did I know anything about when you showed up, I heard a little bit about it from Curtis, but didn't get the whole story.

I probably would have felt the same way and done the same thing.

Like I said maybe we'll get a chacne to ride sometime in the future.

I would have been inclined to stay away from riders wearing sandals and shorts without helmets, myself. Did someone forget to tell them that the ride was an all day event?

The Bottom line of the bottom line is they wont be invited back. I think we are all in agreement with that. This goes to anyone else that shows up with no gear and runs the mouth.

Just another reminder to point new people to the sticky on group rides, that's all. If I ever get anyone new to tag along on a ride, I'm going to be damn sure they're geared up.

I went to Hull yesterday for some drinks and lunch(not on the bike), and there were squids o' plenty cruising the beach. They really thought rev limiters were cool.
