I havent been as tired as when I got home from this in a LONG time.![]()
I know a little about everything, and alot about nothing.
I wish I could have joined you guys but I had to work that night and wifey was bugging me to take her on a ride (on the bike). When I move to NH we will get together Ron. I know some decent ones heading towards you but you'll have to show me the good ones up by you. Which town are you in exactly? 25/25c/118/112 all connect and I think that I will be spending some time round there when I move. We'll see.![]()

25c sucks balls. My exact statement when we got to Rt. 10 from 118/25:
"I'm never riding that road again."![]()
Nice road, horrible pavement.
You missed some fun Will. Could have even taken the wife down and said hello down at 17, we were there for a bit doing the west side a few times.
That road is amazing.

would have been cool to meet up, but i completely understand the HONEY-DO deal...... honey do this honey do that etc etcOriginally posted by Nikon

plus with 3 boys, working 50 + a week, I am amazed i can out anytime on the bike at all. so this past sunday was definitely well earned, deserved, and due !
When I move to NH we will get together ROB.
heheh or does jeff have a secret Identity i need to know about...
ahh now for the whole reason i am held back from anything less than a 350 mile day....I know some decent ones heading towards you but you'll have to show me the good ones up by you. Which town are you in exactly?
I live 15 miles north of Mt Washington, in a bitch of a run down hell hole town, which I happen to call home......... BERLIN, NH

25c and 25A while quite scenic, are absolute Junk right now to ride on....... 25 was all bound up with hard packed gravel due to road repair construction.... seemd every other mile was pavement/gravel/pavement/gravel....
118 was kick ass from the woodstock/warren line to 25 though....
I can actually make it to montpelier in 2 hours or so, and hanover in 3 hours
while we dont have the tightest twists, we got some fun rides to have my way.... again they are long drawn out at least 4-5 hours seat time kind of riding though
Why would I want to meet up with Jeff - I was talkin about you foo.
They just started that with 25c then cause I when I took it for Bike Week it was a bit choppy but totally clean.
I know Berlin - it smells bad too.
Never actually ridden over that way though. I do want to make a trip up the Rock at some point.
Bras cause cancer.
hahah
Berlin does not smell anymore since the shutdown of the mill....
of course almost 400 people are out of work too
I have 1 or 2 nice half to full day excursions tucked in my back pocket for riding over this way....
after ya get settled in, make the trip up to lincoln, we can meet up, I can whip em out for ya, and let you decide how far you want the ride to last for the day....
just get me a few weeks notice if possible, so i can adjust my work schedule....
and jeff, you can come too....

you got it

Yeah that was junk for sure. Once I hit 118 it got better, until bambi tried to kamakazi me. It was far enough ahead of me not not be more then a scare. I had a decent ride home after that though.25c and 25A while quite scenic, are absolute Junk right now to ride on....... 25 was all bound up with hard packed gravel due to road repair construction.... seemd every other mile was pavement/gravel/pavement/gravel....
Thanks for the invite again Rob. As I said before if you want to ride up you're way I have a place to stay up there.
And Jeff, we're not too far away. So if you ever want company, let me know

Next time you need to ride to the family place, let me know, got a few roads to enjoy for an afternoon
( a short ride, @ 3 hours)

You know what. The bottom part of 25 was destroyed when I went through ( as it has been for the last 2 fuckin years) but I was thinking mainly about the north side of 25 - the part in VT before you hit 25c. That part of 25 is awesome.

So about the guy that crashed... what part of the picture did he miss that he didn't think to slow down.
The fact that:
Your on a residential street
There are dirt driveways along side the road
its rained for the last 3 months, almost every corner / intersection is covered in sand
Bummer he fell, good to hear he's ok, but lets ride with our eyes open next time.
It was just inexperience, pure and simple. Our pace was a bit much for him, so he dropped to the back. I had even slowed down before the corner, because the houses started getting pretty dense, and I saw people up by the roadside a little ways up. For whatever reason, he went in a little hot for HIMSELF, panicked, hit the brakes, and fall down go boom.
I know a little about everything, and alot about nothing.
fall down and go boom boom hurts sun tines!!
+1 to jeff's comments...... he probably got ambitious, combined with the adrenaline from riding a kick ass set of twisties, etc etc etc
I saw what heppened for the most part( he was behind me)
I would definitely ride with him again given the opportunity.
it was repeated a shitload of times RIDE YOUR RIDE.
he ended up with $400+ or so worth of work ( forks, triples, plastics etc) a sprained ankle, and one hell of a first drop for a newb rider...
