I know Im just messing wit ya, Carlton is a goooood boy. Kurt I felt ok cause I had the liner and a long sleeve underneath so it was not too bad. Too bad you left early it started to warm up and the rodes further up was better. There was a bit of traffic today but not too bad. Did you end up going home or another destination? I didnt make the ride today. I wish I did but I ended up doing something way better. I went to the bike shop grabbed my YZ and grabbed the little xr50. I brought them back to my place and tossed my roommates 3 kids on the 50. I think I made 3 more future riders. All of them had a great time on it. As much fun as it is riding with all you assholes its much more rewarding to see the looks on their faces when they get going good for the first time
A few slow cages but overall a GOOD pace thanks to Shel and Joel Some good laughs and despite being in VT with our bro Shel no 5-0 harrasment. We were 9 till noon when Dan et al peeled off and the there were 6.

Shel and I got there a little late, you know shels always friggin late. We headed out towards 119 and ended up in vermont rt 100. Joel led most of the way and did a good job, he didn't pass on any double yellow all day.
We stop and ate at this little break/lunch place and the burgers we ordered were uncooked but the fries were good. I think they did that cause shell was being a wise ass to the waitress, nice going plick.We almost ran over a whit pitbull that decided to stroll across 119, he took his sweet ass time crossing.

Dammit.......I told you guys, if Kurt hadn't reminded me that passing on the double yellow in VT was legal I would have stuck to my position on double yellow passes. Today was a good time. A good group of guys, a bunch of good roads and a couple of motorcycles......other than adding in a couple of hot women what more could you ask for? It felt good to finally get back out and do a longer street ride. I used to do rides like that almost every weekend usually on Sat and Sun but things being what they are I haven't had the time and/or motivation to get out there. Thanks to all involved for making it a good day.

Looks like it was a fun ride. I'm new to the forum and am always looking to hook up for some good rides.
I did have 3 riding friends, who over the last year, have given up bikes. One (97 TL 1000) crashed and doesn't want to touch another bike. One ( TLR 1000)had a baby and just feels its unsafe and the other (Duc Monster) got a new girl who hates us all.These are all great friends for years but just don't want to ride any more.
I'd love to join in on a ride or two but the thing is...I don't know if I'd fit in. No offense to any one here and I don't want to call any one out. I'm not one to do wheelies down a high way or stunt in any way on the public roads. Ya...I will ride faster than the posted limit...but always within reason.
Just a little story so you'll know why I feel this way.
I joined a group ride over the summer where a couple of guys did some stupid things and the next thing ya know 3 Staties round us all (8 bikes) up and start issuing tix for everything. (loud exhausts, plate issues and we were all issued tix for speeding) The cop told us as a group that they got several phone calls for bikes doing wheelies. He also said that it usually isn't speed, unless it's excessive, that they pull groups over for...its for stunting. So i walked away with a couple tix, I deserved the speeing ticket). I was not happy and soon after we left the side of the road and the cops were gone...the same asshole decides to do another wheelie. I gave a hand signal that I was done with the ride and went home.
So....would I fit in?

Charlie, I can tell you that this particular group hardly do any wheelies on rides.
Most of the NESR riders are more into riding than stunting, thats probably why you don't see a stunter section on here.
Was that a NESR ride? just wondering.

No it was not. I met a couple guys at a track day @NHIS. They organized it.
Well , You seem very concern so lets start from the top.
1.We only do triple digits were we know the police will never hide.
2.We onlyt pass on the yellow in VT.
3.If the police dont have it on tape we did not do it and if the caller shows up to court get the plate number off his or her car, So we can come over for a sit down after court.
