Thanks everyone for coming out! As always,t he company is what makes this a great ride. Thanks to Sheppo for stepping up to sweep, not knowing if Rob would have a bike or not, and also for leading us to P
epere's party. There is no way we would have found it on our own without route 3.
Well it is a newbie ride after all.

These rides sound fun. Will join next year.glad it didn't rain on you guys

I had fun, so did Justin. Great roads, great people and a great time. No problem leading you back. That charity ride that we met in Brookline NH is the reason I won't and don't go on large rides anymore!

Oh and no rain, some sprinkles but no rain!

I got rained on twice - out the door on the way up for 5 minutes and about 15 minutes on the way home.
Still, one dries off really fast at 50mph.

    Fun day.

Apologies for attacking Sheppo with an empty V8 can. I guess that pocket doesn't hold things as securely as I thought

I think they departed from about 1 mile up from where you split off to head towards Westford. Lot's of traffic, ambulance and a bike on the side of the road. Looked like somebody went down right from the get go and judging from the number of cops and ambulances I passed just getting to the start point I'd guess somebody from that parade that passed us must have gone down behind us too. Not a good start to their day.

Not the first time someone went down on that ride. That's the exact reason I won't do that or any other charity ride. The year I did that one, 5 bikes crashed right in front of me, lots of rubber banding, too much testorone and not much common sense or experience. Oh and did I say the stops along the way are at bars... So add alcohol.
