    Thumbs up Attitash ride review

So yesterday I met up w/ Oxx & Slappy (aka Rob, slaps76) & headed out for a ride... roads were decent, traffic was a little on the heavy side, but all in all it wasn't a bad ride. We accepted the fact that it was gonna turn into a somewhat tame ride so we weren't acting like idiots & just enjoyed the cruise for the most part.

at one point we saw about 60-80 harleys on a benefit ride w/ police escort, but who cares about that right? jk

A few minutes from Attitash we saw the other Rob (01YZF6) & he figured it was us so he pulled a U-ey & followed us to tha 'Tash.

We hung out there, got our tix, did about 5 runs on the Alpine Sllizzide & got a bunch of pictures, curtesy of YZF Rob

I guess some guy that worked there said he's never seen anyone in full gear like us in the 3 years he's been there. We definitely got some funny looks but it's a good thing we were wearing it... i think at some point or another we all got a knee down, an elbow down, a shoulder down, a hip down, a back down, a hand down, an ass down, hell I even got my head down

After that we went across the street & gave the bartender at the pizza place some business & made her put on the MotoGP race

After lunch we headed out, did some more riding, got caught in some fog/mist/rain/crap & I freezed my ass off, but it eventually dried up & we found a few twisties & had some more fun.

Oxx almost got run off the road by some ASSHAT in a POS Ford Escort or some crap car. We were all stuck behind a huge line of cages & this white van that was doin 35mph in a 55 most of the time & this dude in the escort was passing like 1 cars at a time in a line of about 8-10 cars. The idiot would move into the oncoming lane, CRAWL past a car, maybe two & BARELY make it back into the normal lane before the end of the passing lane w/ oncomming cars flashing their highbeams at him... just a total retard, there was no point to what he was doing. Finally we got to a long enough straight were we could pass a good number of em & Oxx leads off. He just about gets to the asshat in the Escort & what does he do? Pull right out in front of him w/o a blinker or anything. Friggin IDIOT. Almost takes out Oxx but Oxx swerves into the opposite breakdown lane w/ me a couple hundred feet behind him. Hell, I almost split the difference between the retard in the escort & the car he was passing The guy knew we were bullshit @ him & didn't even move his head once he came up next to us at a stoplight about a mile down the road. Not a single glance over at us.

Oh & then Oxx almost took out a crazy dog that bolted out into the road & ran straight at us... that was a little unnerving. cool lookin dog though. What was that? a boxer or somethin? I didn't get that good of a look, I was keeping my eye on clear pavment for a way out.

Anyway, those were the only two pucker moments of the day & they weren't all that bad all things considered.

The highlight of the day was definitely the Alpine Slizzide (oh & of course getting a big ole hug from Manda Pants when Oxx & I dropped in on her at work )

All in all, I think I put about 350-400 on the clock from the time i rolled out of my appartment till the time i rolled back in early this afternoon (spent the night at the 'rents house). Not bad.

    Did i forget anything, guys?

EDIT: oh & Oxx was very well behaved on Amanda's Zook 750. Only 12 wheelies, 4 stoppies, 3 burnouts & 8 separate squidly red light rev limiter tests

good time Pete and gang !

got to give a thanks to the Atti-CRASH crew for letting me skim some of those pics......at $10 per shot, that would have proven to be quite ludicrous.........

still laughing a bit over the "enduro" comments too....

Well I was especially impressed with the one you did through the center of that small town at around 60mph while flipping off that cop...and I think you were standing up on that one...well one leg was on the rear peg...and then the smoking donuts in front of the nursing home.

    Damn, you're a hooligan
