now here's a group of soon-to-be cold ass mofos.
Just got in. Glad you kept going - seriously. The first guy called the original guy to come ID me after he got done with the rest of the crew. He showed up...nightstick up the pooper...threats of arrest...yaknow...the usual.
Long story short - No tickets. I explained that the reason I followed you away was because I had no idea where I was and needed gas/was running on empty. Based on the conversation with the two of them I do feel like you and I would have both gotten tickets if you had stopped, so more powah to ya. Instead, they gave me the "get new friends" speech and directions to the Mobil in town. Only guy with RI plates helped I guess.
Remembered the path back through some rain...rain stopped when I crossed back over the border.
Hopefully the rest of the group didn't get any tickets and got the same lecture about deer, etc. that I got.
Here's to getting the shittiest ride over with and behind us at the start of the season!![]()

Oh...and although it was a short day today...funniest quote of the day -
Nate: "Any of you guys know how to get to the Bean from here?"
PRICELESS!!![]()

Coldest ride I've been on yet. There was no way i was going to make it to the bean.
I almost fell over when the cop didnt give us a ticket. He got out of his car all pissed off and I heard him call for backup for the '' 4 other bikes that turned around and took off''. Then again, at no point was i speeding when he had sight of me, so he really couldnt give me a ticket, maybe he could have ticketed whoever was in the back of the pack but by the time we had stopped all you guys took off...haha. good for you. Nix, you shouldn't have hung around. I was surprised to see you pulled over on my way back.....

what a fucking way to start the season. I got caught in the rain on the highway. It took me about 30 mins to find my way out of Dover, Needham area. All I was thinking about was, please don't see another cop.
mark, when I heard him say "you guys were doing like 55 on here", all I could think about was that Seinfeld episode when Jerry gets pulled over with his hot girlfriend & he says "oh, well you must have caught me when I slowed down, because I was going way faster than that!"
We pulled right over, shut our bikes off, took our helmets off, and got off our bikes. As long as we're being polite, most officers will let you go after giving the speeding speech. Many cops know that any street bike could outrun them, so if you're respectful to them about pulling over, usually they'll let you go with a verbal warning
True dat. I followed Nate through a couple lefts and rights. We got back on that main road and there was a cop way up on the right...waiting for us per the call on the radio mentioned above. I guess our mistake was that couple lefts and rights but neither one of us knew WTF to do right away. I was behind Nate and got some distance between us when I saw said Po-Po, so I had to stop and Nate did good to keep on goin'. Glad it all worked out for us. That could have blew dog, yet I'm with you guys on them not having any clue as to how fast we were going. I was second guessing myself as to whether or not I should hang with you guys or not but am glad to hear we're all on the same page. Good meeting you guys, and Mark - hope your bike didn't get too, too wet! That thang is scha-weeet!!

I'm really surprised that the cops were that chill. I thought for sure someone was going to get a ticket. Especially after Kurt told me that the cops in Dover have been busting people for speeding.
Luckily no one got a ticket and we all made it back home safe. "I'm frikin' freezing Mr. Bigglesworth!" I think I stood in front of the fireplace for 20 mins.
