    Good Boston area riding?

Does it exist? I just moved to Newton form western Ma where all I had to do was turn left from my parking lot and I was on great roads. None of my friends out here ride so I'm at a loss for good roads/rides. Anyone?

Check out this thread with suggestions for a member in Natick. I live in Arlington, so I usually head to the northwest via Rte 2, then use 117, 111, 110, 62, 31, 119, 225 for example, and connect from there.

Those are some good suggestions, I actually ended up on 117 via 27 which was not too bad until some old lady rear ended me in Waltham at a light...after we had been sitting there for a minute. Anyways I'm gonna try some more tomorrow. Thanks man

... and keep goin' on 27 north to Acton, turn left on 2A/119, stop at MotoMarket, get coffee, buy stuff. http://www.motomkt.com/

Then take various loops back through Carlisle and Concord, pick up 126 south near Walden Pond to head home, or ...

+1 the other thread I started for asking about routes.

And.. do NOT take Jamaica way.. there are plenty of people that veer across the yellow and can't even stay in their own lane to begin with

3 times then you gotta go, everytime I see a cop after the third time. Although I didn't ride on the street this year those were always a couple fun roads for a quick blast cause they are so close. but if you really wanna enjoy them you have to fly down them and its probably not a good idea.

i've never done more than 2 passes, and i live 1 mile from the best road in that area. just always aware of what's there (state barracks), and want to be respectful of my loud exhaust.

yeah, me and a friend used to do 2 cause every time we did the third there would be a trooper coming. Waiting at the end of Chikatabut on the Quincy side for there to be no cars coming we'd see them coming so we'd just leave.

you're on the wrong road dude. chikatabut is the one by the cemetary that brings you out by the Ford dealer. you need to that that left turn after the construction

Oh my bad, I just looked, the road I was thinking of is Wampatuck, we'd sit at the bottom where we could see people coming from 93. Chickatabut goes from over near the Barracks across 28 and down to Ford.

yeah not so much during the day, though it is my favorite way to get into the city if I'm not in a hurry. A recent trip to Western MA reminds me that you just can't beat the boonies for good roads,

Watch out for horses crossing the raod in Blue Hills. We were causing trouble up there one day and came flying around a corner only to see 2 horses in the road. Closed my eyes and split the two. Close fuckin call.
