Use Parker's as a meet and greet, then:

    1. leave by 9:30 and slab it to Loudon, stopping at Einstein's Bagels just off the highway in Concord for a great 10 minute breakfast, or
    2. leave Parker's at 9:00 (hi! bye!), and take some good back roads to the track, heading either North then East, or East then North
Yeah, kind-of figured on that. If it's too busy, a couple of us may go on ahead straight to the track. We're going to play it by ear.

Just for the record, I'm not trying to diss the size of the group, I enjoy riding with everyone who's coming. I'm just anal about schedules and had planned on being up there by 11ish.

Re: Gauging interest - Ride to first LRRS race day of 2010

I spent a few hours on the RC. I thought everything was ready except for Chain lube and an Inspection sticker.

Got home from work at 4:15 and quickly ran to get a sticker, got back to the house & lubed the chain, then noticed dust.... So that turned into wash and wax, then mount the radar. SHIT The mounting bracket is broken. So Found a Ram mount and a few brackets and Whallah! Oh No Wait now the power cord is too short... lift the tank, and pull more cord to the front.

I am now ready to go, All I have to do is shower dress and OTD!!!

I am hoping to eat at Parkers, but it's not a deal breaker. If they are too busy I am up for movong on and hitting some bagel or Dunkins or even a McD's Sausage egg and cheese sandwich. I wouldn't mind getting there earlier.

I knew you couldn't ride it "dirty" (although what call dirty is what most of us call spotless.)

I only check and lubed the chain, set the tire pressures, and cleaned the back wheel.

With the shenanigans at penguin yesterday, today's rr should be a doozy.

Re: Gauging interest - Ride to first LRRS race day of 2010

Thanks everyone for coming out. We started with 6 bikes and ended up with a group of 18 bikes (19, if you include the short time Eric was with us.) It was good to see old friends and as always, meet new people to ride with.

No incidents, good breakfast, great time at the track.

Frank and I headed home from NHMS at about 4:15. We took the same route home that we took up, which was route 13. We ended up getting stopped in Milford, NH by what seemed to be a rookie. We weren't even doing 42 in a 35. He let us off with written warnings. No attitude from either side.

Rolled into my driveway just after 8:00pm. 257 miles door to door.

Pictures to follow. I need to process and upload them.

I think all the cops are looking for valid stickers or something this early in the season. Either that or it's gonna be along summer.

I got stopped for 70 in a 65 with people passing me on my left. Go figure

Re: Gauging interest - Ride to first LRRS race day of 2010

Good day for sure. Mike (halfsquid) and I left about 3pm, had to make a stop at Seacoast and then a mix of highway and backroads home. I got home around 7pm with 336 miles on the clock and one bug covered bike.
Nice to see some of the old faces again, and meeting the new ones.

WTF? Was that today after we split off? Or a diff day?

It was SOOOOOO good to ride today, after 5+ months off the bike... Lots of mods to get used to, but its running awesome, and I'm tickled pink with it. AND I didn't forget I switched to GP shift even once!

Great to see everyone today, good people, good food, fun ride, and great racing to watch.

Always a good thing. I made a wrong shift last year on the SV that ended up downshifting when I was supposed to be an upshift. Talk about surprise.

Good ride. 256 miles and 2 sunburns for us. Nice to meet some new people and see some old faces. Seems like a lot more people showed up than who posted. Surprised we got in and out of Parker's so quick. Thanks Mike for leading such a big group.
