ive only been riding for a year now and not sure if im skilled enough to keep up with other riders but im interested and thinking of going. whats the route? sorry if its been posted....
i have never rode with anyone here but i would assume its not much differnt from i am used too. its not about keeping up, its about riding your pace and being safe. i am sure they will wait for you at intersections etc. but then again.... i could be wrong
regardless, never try to keep up, its not a race. i will head up there soon for my first ride in the NE and would like some company, shoot me a message if you wanna meet up there some time.

New season, and based on some good questions, worth posting a few comments!
Seacoast rides are generally populated by a bunch of sport bike enthusiasts. Groups as small as 4 (not lately) and as large as 40 have left from Seacoast Sport Cycle in Derry NH. The Leader is hard nosed about arriving fueled up, wearing appropriate gear (helmet, jacket, gloves, at least jeans, and footwear other than sneakers or flip flops - i.e. some sort of boot), and early enough to get signed in.
He always starts the ride with a brief meeting where he covers the one rule - RIDE YOUR OWN RIDE and several other items related to how the ride is run.
Seacoast rides are always run as one group. He will identify the 'sweep' and several attendees have communcation gear (chatterbox) so there is good dialogue from end to end. As stated earlier, no one gets left behind. We don't have riders pull out in the road to stop traffic and we have had really good experience keeping the ride together.
As a rule, the leader doesnt' publish the route (he's essentially a lazy bastahd) but if you have a Garmin...or the skills to convert from a .gdb file to some other uselful format, he will send you a file. Be aware however, that the route will often change on the fly. Although at least one stretch of dirt seems to be a mandatory component, he will often make mid course corrections if his plotted route takes him up a ski lift or over an obvious cliff. (And while he is usually able to avoid ponds, you cant take that as a given!)
We usually have a pretty good time. I think it was important to say that too...

Dave you fogot one important point. There will be (guaranteed) at least one patch of dirt road. This piece is never on the map or discussed in advance but be prepared because it is inevitable that at some point on the ride we will all become MX riders at which point convincing yourself 'I am Jeremy McGrath" usually gets you through it.
...wait for it...!!!!

i have riden in groups and know the rules and have read the pace, thats not what im concerned about....I m just not that skilled at twisties and the such. there arent that many roads round here that offer me up any chances to get a knee down... from what ive read other places the road is pretty fun but also requires a fair amount of technical ability to keep from shitting yourself.
Im not afraid I just dont want to look like a tool or act like im some great rider that im not....I just like to ride with others and really want to be able to get a chance to use all of my rubber.
Best place for this is NHMS and the best organization (clatter clatter clatter) is BostonMoto.
These rides are not about this. They're about a bunch of like minded enthusiats getting together, enjoy a ride and the company, and trying not to further tarnish the reputation of Sport Bike riders! You're post is confusing. You admit to not being skilled in the twisties AND you want to get a knee down. Sounds like a recipe for disaster to me...but, to each his own!
The kind of ride you're looking for isn't one with 40 riders. Find 1-2 close friends and have at it. But please try and keep in mind that when you do assinine things, it makes all of us look like asses. And, frankly, I don't need any help with that...I'm enough of an ass without the help.

I think your assuming too much.....Im not riding like an asshole and even though its a group ride they are riding on road that is know for its tight curves I.e. twisties...actually i would prefer a nice easy 40 bike ride, but from the choice of road It didnt seem like it was going to be a 40 bike cruise....Maybe i was mistaken?
Define cruise
You won't be dragging knees on a Seacoast ride but you won't be idling around either.
There is a wide range of riders who show up. Racers with years of experience to people who just got their first bike. EVERYONE has fun. Just show up and enjoy, no need to worry about looking foolish. We've all been there and done that and some of us still do
Edit: we won't be flying up and down Hurricane mountain; that's best left to people who know it very well and not in a large group.
