Had a "Professional Development Seminar"in Lincoln yesterday, decided to ride
my ride up started at 6:30am , it was snowing at my house and roads were slushy. riding on my half worn Conti Trail Attacks rather than my studded Karoo Ts I just took off last week Luckily, the snow & slush was only on my hill. Once on Rt 11 the roads were wet as most but only to Alton, from there north, roads were dry, temp was about 25° I slabbed it to Lincoln in the morning, 11 - 11A - 3 - 104 - 93
on the way back, last evening about 8:30pm I decided to take the Kanc, snowbacks are still easily 10 feet high in many places, but pushed well back from the traveled surface, the sign at Kancamangus Pass is barely visible with just a few inches sticking above the snowbank
pretty much the length of the Kanc has residue of heavily salted sand alond the centerline, but lanes themselves are clean. unlike some of our states southern routes, frost heaves have not receded yet, the worse section is 2-3 miles near Bear Notch Road
Temps were in the mid teens, after the kanc, I took 153 the rest of the way home

How was 153? Any washout areas to be looking out for?
"If you tell the truth you don't have to remember anything."
for the most part, frost heaves have settled, but quite a bit of broken pavement in some sections, on 153, I couldn't see the pavment as well in the dark as the Kanc cause there were no snowbanks to reflect the light
I recall a couple places where the shoulders were washed, but nothing serious like I've seen in the southern part of th state
