My wife is taking the kids to a friends all day. Somebody convince me that 4 hours sleep before a 500 mile day is a good idea and I'm in.

Have fun guys! I would love to go, but I really have to start getting ready for the cruise I'm going on. Leaving Thursday after work and haven't packed or organized a single thing...
C'mon Eric. I leave for Mexico Thursday and haven't done a thing. That's what Wednesday is for.
Thanks all. Most excellent day.
Special thanks to Dave and Cheese for leading / sweeping.
I can not believe that I was somehow convinced to actually pass a car on a gravel road. I don't go on gravel roads.
Mm, gravel.
423 miles for me, so says the gps gadget. Solid day. Thanks all.

Could have been worse, could have throttled up on the pavement only to have the pavement disappear mid pass. On the brakes and on the radio yelling, "dirt dirt dirt!"
Remember, when someone flashes their headlights there's law enforcement ahead. Unless it's the law enforcement flashing their headlight, then their blue lights and being uber generous and letting us off with a "pucker & release."
Great ride today. Thanks for making it easy for leaders and sweepers.
Guys, thanks for a good day. My first ride in such a big group, thanks for putting up with the newbie. Sorry for riding reserved later in the day. That last time the center stand caught hard took me out of it a bit.
You didn't bother me at all.
I'm old, fat, and slow. My touring bike doesn't go faster that 60. If it's a problem let people past.
Ride your ride. Every time. You are the only one in control of your bike.
Great ride for 15 hardcore folks! Thanks to Mark V. for suggesting King Arthur Flour for lunch. It's a perfect location - fun to - and even more fun from!

After lunch, Kenn and Mark left with Mark Bock (nice meetin you Mark!) and headed out on their own for a 3 day Daks romp. The rest of us headed to Ben and Jerry's for ice cream! On the way we got to ride freshly paved Rt. 12 which might be the best 12 miles in 3 states today! It's an awsome set of either kind of of tight sweepers or kind of wide twisties which invite one to express joy in questionably legal ways!
B&J was busy but efficient. It's clearly about the journey though. Not the destination. If it's icecream you want, you can get better closer!
After getting twisted around as a result of an administrative glitch from ride management, we got sorted out and found ourselves heading the other way on Rt 12. I'm pretty sure most of us were OK with that! (I had turned sweep over to Cheese and it wasn't until we'd gone 10 miles that I realized why his route had deviated so far from mine. He had a stale version of the route I had posted earlier and I'd made some important changes I never reposted. As a result, I took back the lead and as quick as that we were on a new to us 5 mile romp of up and down. We gotta find out what that was and add it to our stash!)
After a bit of slab, we rejoined the original route I was vindicated as I turned lead back to Cheese for Chelsea Mountain Road and onward.
The rest of the ride was great and most of us stuck it out to the Irving in Goffstown. A long (400+ miles and 12+hours for most) and satisfying day.
So...
Thanks to Kenn suggested Ben and Jerry's. (Too bad you weren't there for that...!!!)
Thanks to Mark for pointing King Arthur Flour.
Thanks to Cheese for sweeping to Ben and Jerry's. Awesome as usual.
Thanks to Cheese for leading after Ben and Jerry's and after we got back on route!
Thanks to Terry for sweeping when my comm finally ran out of battery. (Glad we figured out I had to shout to make myself heard!)
Thanks to that Leo for the heads up on the pedestrian traffic at the Golf Course. He was very cool!
And, thanks to everyone for showing up and riding well. A good day is one where you're saddle sore an happy.
I was and am....!

Yeah Dave Ben and Gerry was long before I knew my nephew was going to be in Moretown. Then Mark Bock, not Bolduc mentioned to me about a Daks ride. Im probably not going on the one in Sept you have planned. I'm on vacation so I figured why not now
Hope Ben And Gerrys was yummy.
Great summary Dave. That stretch of Rt. 12 was worth hitting twice!
Thanks to both you and Cheese for your rotating, team effort of leading/sweeping. Thanks also to jasnmar for leading me and lak-o-wits home.
Nice to meet and talk bikes with Falko, Dutch, and others. Great ride, great day!
Looks like Epic time had by all, too bad I missed it! Damn it!!!!!! I caged it all day in Portsmouth.
Most fun I've had on two wheels and It was good to meet you guys. 550 miles for me, a definite personal record.
Did anyone happen to have cameras running? I want to make sure I catch any footage.
