Oh, almost forgot. For he who didn't realize:
If a car yields, it's okay to pass them on the double yellow line in single file or staggered. Nobody should ever pass from behind the rider in front of them during a double yellow pass. It is unexpected and therefore not a safe pass. I'm not trying to be a safety nazi, just speaking the general opinions of most group riders because we saw it.
the highlight of the day for me was...seeing the clown waiting to pull out of the gas station. (i don't mean cager) it was an actual clown in full makeup!!haha.
lots of jackasses on the road!!!

Aside from the two incidents it was a great ride. I was surprised how well the group stayed together considering how big it was.
Good riding with you all and hope to see you next time.
My body is whipped, and my mind mush. What a great ride! I'll ride with you guys anytime!!
It seemed like after lunch we started losing people left and right. At one intersection, Duey, Steve, and Chuck split off and then the guy on the yellow/silver 1k (didn't catch his name) had to stop for gas. It all happened so fast, I just stuck with the pack since I had no idea where I was.
The end of the day was nice after all the cars were off the roads :naughty
thanks captain for leading (too bad for the tix)
after we split up at the groton gas station, kham wanted to do the lost lake run, I pulled over and as I was trying to convince him to skip it, another cop pulled up just to check what was going on. I pretended we were lost and he gave us directions to 119 (which we passed 2 mins ago.) and drove off.
COPS were everywhere.
I thought I was the only one saw the clown. almost laugh off my seat.
here are my photos.
Im mad about having to work today I wanted to go on this ride pretty bad. Im glad that I did miss the crash but damnit Im pissed I missed the clown!
So tell us more about the ticket. :D
Wow, looks like the bike got a beating. Hopefully the rider is ok.
also.....
the 3 legged dog.
frontier dudes w/ muskets.
the chick at the gas station.
the roadblock.
the wipeout.
yea. the clown looking all aggrivated.
and. thanks cheese. The passing while someone is passing a car crap was some crazy shit. Now that's a good way to wipe several people out. :bash
I was planning on heading back to NH on 103 anyway. So when John Law showed I decided just to head back.
It was nice to meet Jeff and almost meet the rest of you guys :)
I tried to hook up with you guys in Mass on 119 in the am, but must have missed you. Took the long way over to Route 9 and ran into Jeff there.
Is that Johns bike? I guess he likes working on bikes.
If it makes you guys feel any better, i got my first speeding ticket in 4-5 years today in my CAGE after the ride.
74 in a 55. D'oh! :hammer:
yep if you're commit to passing just do it quick and get it over with.
those fuckin cops could have round up all of us if they had wait little bit longer. they probly didn't know how big the group was and started to light up for the first few guys. as soon as they pass im like oh im good. maybe i'll stay on the side for little bit? :)
all in all was great ride.
Carl and Alex, sorry to mislead you guys on the way home. i decided to take 40 home the last minute and didn't wave you guys to go straight. i was still up for the roller coaster ride. :)
thanks hoser for the confidence, but your old age has you mistaken the crashed fz6 for my fz1
the guy is ok check out his linkhttp://www.nestreetriders.com/forum/...t-bruised.html
and if you look at carlton's pix im the one just behind the guy who goes down
and kurk we didn't try to loose you. what took you and joe so long to gear up? we went up and around and when we passed back by the street you two were still there. and i know joe caught, bummer you lost us. even bigger bummer is the fact you payed for their whole bottle of black label and all you had was a few sips of it
here is the lowside vid, I was 3 bikes behind so I only caught dust clouds. but you can see him stood up instantly under the arrow sign.
as soon as i saw the dust im like oh shit nooo...
Haha, I saw the clown too. Another perk of the day was at that gas station with the hotty, the gas pump had one of those lever locks so you can pump gas with out squeezing the handle. Well, it was in the locked position when I grabbed it. I pressed my octain choice and was talking to someone and didn't realize gas was gushing out of the pump. Luckily nobody was standing there or a bike was there haha.
The last gas stop we had was a pay inside. I didn't check the pump number so told the cashier is was around $9 figuring she'd look at the screen and chose which amount was mine. Nope, she rang me up for $9 so I got 70 cents worth of gas free. Score!
Hey, what color were fun bags eyes, anybody?
