Life is a challenge. You can take the risk and experience it, or sit back and watch it go by. I choose to experience it. (W.L.Heath)

Back 20 years ago you could ZOOM around the Northeast Kingdom averaging 100 all day.
Great roads very few people. There is a cabin rental place preferred because you can have a giant campfire etc at night
for the socialising and bench racing
Lakeview Cabins - Barton, VT
Camp Meade was wonderful because of a nice bonfire area and a little pool and the cabins were in a loop
The mornings they serve breakfast after reveillee yes reveillee. The a slow crawl thru Stowe over the mountain and zoom

Stromper,
That place looks really nice. definitely gonna check that place out. I have stayed at some cabins on Lake Willoughby in Westmore, VT.
Have you done the Camp Meade Trips with the Triumph group? I've done some of the roads you're talking about with those guys.

That brings back a lot of fond memories! My Triumph group did a few Camp Meade gatherings and romped over 105 up there...at 105. Back then, 242 through Jay Peak area was bumpy in places but nice and twisty-hilly and the resort was not developed like it is today.
Good times but hard to relive the past. I'm older and slower.
BTW, "that group" which was organized on Yahoo now has a FB page.

I remember one particular ride where someone dumped their Sprint RS on the shoulder of the road, then had to ride the thing home in 3rd gear due to a snapped shifter.
Oh, memories!

You have a memory like a solid state hard drive.
He (me) *did* get home the 50 or 60 miles with it though, and never had any problem with the clutch. Sold the bike with 54k on it and the next owner put at least another 30k on it with the OE clutch. Testament to the rugged build of those bikes and the torque band of the 955i mill.
Those were the SRNE days!

That's the only memories of riding I still have!
95% of my group riding involves being at Deal's Gap for a week every year now. Fond memories of those epic VT/Berkshires rides.
Those SRNE (and coolgroup.org) rides were a blast. Everything changed after that first ride I took my old CB750F SS on with SRNE. It was quite literally the most fun I ever had at that point in my life. (minus the whole sects thing)

BIG BIG LONG LONG RIDE RIDE...for one

Yes, I remember the Motomarket ride(s). I try to tell my non-motomarket riding buddies about it sometimes but they have a hard time grasping the details of all the fun that was had.
I would be interested in group rides.

7 or 8 years ago I'd meet up with big shel. Fantastic rides. Quite spirited too. Met MotoMart on a Sunday.
Well maybe a Saturday overnight could be squeezed in
The cabin/camping thing lends itself to good evenings more than motels
There is a great camp on the hill above North Adams Mass

Would love to do an overnight ride camping/cabin I’ve been on many seacoast rides always brilliant I’ve moved to fryeburg ME but can meet up on the road
Ok...........here's the deal, I will be picking up my new Scrambler 1100 next weekend and want to take it for a cruise. I want to organize a ride (affectionately called the caterpillar ride) so I can break in the new Scrambler. The ride will probably entail southern NH and VT.
I want to Get an idea of the number of people that want to go and establish a central meeting spot. This ride could very likely be 200 miles+. Shooting to do this in the next couple of weeks. Weather depending.
Lemme know,
Wayne
