I'm hosting a little poker party this Saturday.
$30 covers snacks, pizza, soft drinks, and entry fee ... basically everything except booze.
I had one guy get sick and cancel, so I'd like to fill his spot.
Guys or Girls are welcome (girls preferred, of course)
Seriously... right now there are 12 guys and 2 girls.
If you don't want to come alone... we could probably fit 2 more people.
Game starts at 3PM... need to arrive by 2:30 PM.
We are all beginner players... no one goes to casinos or anything so NO SHARKS ALLOWED!
In fact, some of the players only played 2 or 3 times before. So if you're just starting out playing Texas Hold'em, you should fit right in.
If interested, let me know... preferably direct by email. When the spot fills, I'll post here - otherwise assume it's still open.

who the fuck doesn't go to the casino????
I enjoy playing poker because it's friends and it's more of a "hangin out" thing.
I view the casino as more of a serious thing... and I don't think I'd enjoy it the same way I enjoy "house games"
Texas hold'em is a lot of fun....how many times can you buy back in?....
The last time i played, (which was the first) i was told you lose and you can buy back in only once...still a lot of fun, even though i won nothing...just like when i race...nothing.![]()

I don't get the whole Texas Hold 'em thing, and I can't stand when we play and somebody's like dueces and eights wild, it's like WTF why don't we just play fish then ya fags....
Now if you're talking Hi-Lo-Jack then deal me in
I used to play poker all the time with my friends in college.Originally posted by SEVENSGT

I hate casinos. All the games are rigged.
I love Texas Hold em... and I also hate games when ANYTHING is wild.
At this moment, there are no second buy-ins.Originally posted by LM954RR

But we will have a "cash" game starting up once enough people drop out of the tourny. That will let people stay busy and give people a second shot to win (or lose) some money.
My problem with allowing buy ins on the main game is that it could go too long.

LOL this sounds like a hustle in the making....
Honest... we've never played before... it must be beginners luck.

Definitely NOT a hustle.
And that's why I don't want someone coming in that is good!
