I am most likely going to try it.........I did 220+ Miles one day on my bike last year when my son and I went to New Hampshire for the bike weekend.

Psh ~220mi is nothing, especially for a full day with breaks. I'm on an R6 and can easily do over 400mi in a day.

I am worried about the long trip too.. especially at the beginning of the season.. ie painful body Thankfully now I'm sporting an FZ6 and it's a heck of a lot nicer to ride on than the CBR or a GSXR! Still.. I'm debating just showing up, heading to NH for lunch and hwy it back home... although I'd be missing the fun part

yes I talked to Steve today about it. I didnt give exact details, but I explained the ride and he thinks it's great!

By details I mean route. I explained that it's and open season ride and showed him the footage of last year. I didnt go "oh by the way we are going to be going an excess of 150+ mph of any sort, but he's not stupid and knows what happens on these rides.

I understand your reasoning Ray but just feel its the wrong crowd. What happens if we get pulled over for speeding . . . they are gonna ask what the arm bands are for and then find out we are on a charity ride . . we would never hear the end of it.

There's a time and pace for everything. just don't think this is the right ride for a charity

As far as I know, most charity rides aren't doing +100mph speeds. It's usually a shit load of bikes parading. The less attention I get riding, the better. All we need is some numb skull riding over his limits and crashing on a charity ride. Bad press.
