Didn't get to do nearly as many sessions as I had hoped. But what I did get it felt AWESOME! Had a great time with relatively minor accidents...
Hey, Bryan! Gonna let summa that air outta your tires now?![]()
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
That was an awesome time, even in the rain. I have a whole new appreciation for how well tires can stick, even in the rain.
First, thanks to Spencer, who sat out in turns 3/10 all day, freezing his hands off, hoping I would crash so he would have something to do...I guess your voodoo curse didn't work![]()
I had a good time chasing Mike and Kevin around the track, and learned a few things watching Degsy, John, and Jay. Bryan...you are fast on that R6, man !
Based on the miles, I got over 100 laps in yesterday...guess I got my money's worth !
Thanks for putting on a great track day Tony. It was my first, but not my last !

I second that. Gordon you were really flying out there, and Mike too. It was fun trying to keep up with you guys. Nice meeting a few new faces, Bentbryan, and Needforspeed and seeing a few old faces Degs, Stoneman,Spence, Gordon, Mike, and Dave(Zero).
Also a big thanks to Tony and the crew for putting on another great day and making the best of the conditions. I'll see you again in May.

Had an awesome time! Tony puts on a great event! Great to get on the track with some fellow NESR'ers. More thanks to Spence for working 3 and 10! (I'll bring extra food for you next time!) Gordon, thanks for coming to look for me! Can't wait till the next one!

Fuggin' Gordon was a madman, possessed! If you didn't plain out get the most laps in, you were a close second. That exhaust is so loud and so damned distintive, I knew were you were at all time. Even when I was in the garages!
BIG thanks to Spence for giving up his time and body heat!
Huge props to Jon for sharing his rain gear! And uh...sorry 'bout the gasoline incident. Hope you get that smell outta your leathers...
Props to Bryan too! He KNEW he hadta 'let some air outta' his tires and 'take it down a coupla notches'. Didn't execute either very well, but knew it needed doing...
It was great as usual meeting the NESR peeps I hadn't yet met. Equally good to see all the usual suspects too!

Hey guys,
I didn't really meet too many people that weren't over where I parked my bike and weren't serving food..![]()
I know who bentbryan is thanks to his crash.. I met Stoneman, and I think I saw scootertrash pass me once.. hehe
Everyone I talked to was real cool and I definately had a great time.. I put 121 miles on my bike and almost shi* my pants a couple times coming down the straight when the rear wheel lost traction.. I tried to take it real easy for the most part.. If I'd crashed the chances of coming to another one would be slim.. Hehe.. I don't think I improved my riding any.. but I did get more comfortable out there on the track..
Thanks to the cornerworkers and peeps who put this together, esp my buddy Pete who worked 3/10 with Spence.

Think again. If you rode on the track, you've improved your riding. You learn about limitations you may not have otherwise properly learned. You learned a lot yesterday, whether you realize now or not...Originally posted by Feirax

Hehe yeah i know Stoneman, but I don't feel any different..hehe
I did learn alot I guess.. its just hard to quantify. I know by the end of the day I was real tired and by going for the apex cones I was able to go faster through the corners with less work..All and all a ton of fun and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Sorry I didn't get around to meet and socialize with everyone more. It was my first track day and I felt like a kid in a candy store...I couldn't wait to get back out on the track after every time I came in.Originally posted by Feirax

I hope I didn't cut you (or anyone else) off when I was on the track![]()
I had a great time. I was a bit slow the first few laps till I was over my jitters worring about dumping my RC. That feeling came and went as I got very comfortable out there in the rain, except for turn 2 & 3, still poked around those corners, especially after Brians get off.. Glad the damage was minimal Brian!![]()
Hey Feirax, I forgot you would be out there.. Was that you with the clear tape over your headlights? I think I chased you a few times, and was able to pass you on the staight away once. You looked comfy out there..
Kev, great following and leading you around most of the day! That was fun.![]()
Gord... Dam i couldn't catch you speedy!!
Great to see everyone and meet a few new people from both sites! Had a great day!!
Excellent job once again Tony for a good day even in the rain..

It wasn't my first but it is overwheling everytime I go. I have to give Degsy a big thanks for hooking me up with a front tire. The one on the FZR was old and sliding all over the place. I can say that I have never felt a bike move like that before and overall a good experience. Good seeing everyone and thanks to Jay for organizing the group buy price. I'm all signed up for Tamworth so hopefully they can get that track put together by then.Originally posted by scootertrash

Yeah, everyone here is like "Have you been out for lunch?" It's beautiful.
I was on the red one/Black tail w/ Moriwaki Exhaust. I think you were still on the track when I left.. Did you ride up/back or trailer there?Originally posted by Feirax

I ended up being the last one on the track and when I came in just about everyone had already gone.I was on the red one/Black tail w/ Moriwaki Exhaust. I think you were still on the track when I left.. Did you ride up/back or trailer there?
I was gonna ride up to the track but since my buddy wanted to go and do corner work we ended up taking his van up. Worked out pretty well considering the weather and how tired I was at the end of the day.

I must admit It was pretty cool to coner work and be in turn 3/10 up close and personal....even though most of the guys were doing about 10mph around three...you could really tell who had been on the track before. Gordon almost had a little off road excursion...keep it on the track gramps, I think i saw Jay out there for like 45minutes
sucks. The best sight of the day was Brian getting so pissed off at the BMW holding him up. Then seeing a blue R6 sliding up into the air fence in turn 2, dude you could of atleasted waited till my turn so I could do something haha ...damn shame and yes bring more cookies next time
I hope to be out there one of these days with you guys....someday.
P.S. Props to degs for passing 2 RC51s and a 600RR on an EX500 haha wow.

Had great time testing out the traction of the new rains. I couldn't believe the traction they gave. Good to put some face with the screen names. Bryan sorry about the crash, you did real well out there. Gordon you were a madman out there. could hear you all over the track. It was great to have you kids cheer you on.
Jay no problem dude, and the spilling of the gas, I thought was funny. Degs nice to see ya out on my EX even if ya had a little vapor lock problem. Thanks to Tony and all the rest of the people involved with the trackday. thanks to SuperDave for the spread and kep us well fed.
