GREAT ride yesterday, perfect weather late afternoon, the backroads were EMPTY
While not a "riding" destination we've got some really fun roads to rip around. It's not like up north with LONG winding roads & beautiful vistas, but I linked up enough short back roads through farm country to get in 160 miles of fun in a few hours. (SSssshhhh, yes I was speeding)
Sorry, I don't normally stop for pics and all the ice cream places were too packed to stop.
I took a Can Am Spyder RT something-or-other for a spin yesterday. Neat machine packed with technology and convenience. But man, was that just downright awkward. No brake/clutch levers, paddle shifting only, bizarre ergos (for me). Just...weird. Some people swear by them and wonder how they lived without them. But it just wasn't my thing, especially at close to $30K!
The best way I can describe it is it's like riding a newer snowmobile on the pavement. Twitchy & jerky...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
I had a deposit on the original Spyder WAY back in I think 08 when they were coming out, just love "unique" vehicles, SO glad I canceled that. The price today is NUTZ, I think the launch edition was like $10k.
Same with the Slingshot, so psyched when announced, put deposit. Reality hit, maybe not that cool, got $$ back.

Riding up to Sunapee on the R90 today. Then riding to a BMW Club of VT breakfast tomorrow.

Great ride today. Took a newly paved NH route 10 up to 89 and Bethel VT for a BMWOV breakfast. Then backroads home. Beauty.

Took @Kenn157's old Speedy to Malibu for the first time. Everyone must've been at the beach bc it was empty here in the mountains!

Picked up my bike from my friend's house in Leominster and took the long way to my new house in Attleboro. Mostly took 27S.
What's the difference between a bolt and a screw?
First you screw, then you bolt.

Yes, absolutely. The V85TT has a high CG IMO, the tank is short and high-mounted, over 5 gal, and the engine sits pretty high to give the bike ADV ground clearance. The ZRX is more compact and a lot lower CG from the feel of it, and sits just right for me. And the power, and the sound, and and and
Of course, I use only a tiny fraction of the power.
PS -- thanks for your concern.

And don't believe everything you think.
Boston to Goshen, with a stop in Hooksett to give Bassomatic his fix.
Then hustled, because looked at radar app. Got here 2:45, put bike in garage and closed the door.
