Good point....will try and keep an eye on this. Maybe we'll just to Hurricane Mtn east then back west and head to Mt. Washington from there.

i might have a back up road/route that i use to get to sunday river. dumps out on rt2 maybe 5 miles from 113......

-The Kanc on a Sunday is gonna be a slow, tedious ride...

-If you're doing Bear Notch Rd., bring kidney support...

-West Side Rd. is THE shit. Runs between Conway & route 302 and avoids MUCH of the tourist traffic...

-If you take West Side Rd. south, cross route 16 and take route 153 south...

-IF you end up on 'that' side, also look at 113 & 113A up around 'On Golden Pond'...

Yes, I repeat YES. There's a chance I'll catchya on part of this ride. If you end up on 28 up to Wolfboro, you'll be passing about a half-mile from my hizouse.....yo...

I agree with your suggestions....

I also have it on good authority that the Leos are all over the Kanc so even if there wasn't any traffic the likely hood of an unpleasant encounter is pretty good. I will probably take 113 and 113a back west instead. From there...who knows. And I'm not sure what you mean about West Road. I have always found it a far better way past Conway and most of North Conway.

I am happy to take other suggestions ...and willing to give up the lead too. But if someone else leads they take on the role of managing the group!

kanc to passaconway to west side rd N, to west side road W back to 302 and back down to 16s, intervale to Hurricane Mt, you can always head back over HMR then take pinkham Notch (16n), to rt 2 e, jump on North rd in Shelburne, come out 3 miles south of sunday river...

i just want to say that im an idiot. i had it all in my head that this ride was today. i got up early. i headed to the rt4/107 intersection at 8..waited.. no one. i left and followed the route... got to madison rock..waited 40 min....headed up to HM rd got to the top..waited..headed up 113 and then made my way home down 5 and such.

where were you guys?

That's what I mean. Great way to get around all that Conway crap and it's a great road to boot. Although I think they should add at least 30MPH to the speed limits on it...
