Not sure if the same time applies yet. Its Seans call but that the place.
i know the place. thats on the north bound direction going to Cape Ann. Do you use the Rt22 for turning around for a south bound direction?
what time of day will thebe given if we are waiting on weather?
I don't know what exit people use. I think it is the 22 one.
As far as tonight, a friend of mine may have her first bike road-worthy tonight, and we may be taking her out on her first road ride (myself and my buddy with the Rebel). If she can get to the DMV in time I won't be riding tonight, at least the romantic ride route.
Then again, if anyone wants to tag along for her first (slow and very careful) ride you're welcome to.
I like to join in. Is everyone still going to be meeting at that rest stop on 128N still at 6:30 tonight? If so, I'm in with a buddy.
the exit to get off at going southbound is the Brimbal Ave. If you are going northbound, the rest area is just after the Sohier Road/Brimbal Ave Exit. If you need some bike part, Cycles 128 is to the right on Brimbal Ave. Go East.
Will this relaxed pace ride take us up and around areas such as Essex and Rowley? Rt 127 is bumpy. This new rider may like to get out on some smooth roads.
Current Rides:
1993 Gsxr 600
2005 Race ready Subaru WRX STi
1987 Porsche 944 Cup Spec racer
2010 VW Jetta Sportwagen TDi
mug23,
I shall meet you and whomever else at 6:30 at the rest stop. There is a parking area to the right just as you enter the rest stop (before the gas area). This is usually a shady area. Meet you there.
I wear a bright yellow jacket.
Sorry I missed you guys (and didn't post). My friend got the plates for her bike and we ended up taking her out to a few rural areas to get her started (she's taken MSF already). Three hours and she only had one tip over (at a stop sign). Ah, the magic of being a new rider
Hopefully I can catch up with you all next week.
I didnt make it either. Next week hopefully!
Hey Guys,
Fun ride! Some of those roads were niiiice.
Bad luck at the end though, I hope you sort everything out BURZA
Also, I snapped this pic of mug23 on the way home

regarding the accident we came across up in Ipswich. Oddly, when I went to dinner that night, I sat down at the bar with a woman who was at the scene and knows the owner of the horse which was killed by a cage. Apparently the horse broke free and took off running. Just some bad luck that it ended up charging across the street to be hit be a cage. Could have been one of us that night. Perhaps we should keep clear of the greener pastures of the North Shore.
My bike is fine, a bummer it happened. Just some $ to repair the cosmetics.
Hey Schleppy, any plans for a ride this Friday?
I'll be around tomorrow around 6:30 if anyone wants to ride :]
What, ya got a job? Can't ride earlier?
All kiddin' aside, anyone doin' anything Saturday during the day? Gonna be mid 70's an' sunny. Schlepps? Wanna do a swap-bike ride Saturday? I need ta get up to N.H. for booze and smokes, maybe we run up ta Stratham/Exceter up by Chris and load up! The C holds lottsa booze and smokes, but ya gotta ride it a little heavy is all! Or, you ride it up empty, I'll ride it back heavy with the schwagg?
