Anyone riding Saturday, 9/30?

I figured I'd post in a new thread, since no one seems to be responding to the 2up thread. (except mzdagrl, I have to give her credit...)

Sunday's looking worse and worse as time goes on. Supposedly, Saturday's going to be the day to ride this weekend. (NWS says mostly sunny, mid 50's to low 60's)

I'd be up for starting from just about anywhere in New England, since the day is a freebie for me. (wife's trail riding on her horse)

I'm definitely out of this one. That's over 3 hours away from me. I was looking for a starting place of maybe 2 hours at the most, so my earlier post of anywhere in New England meant including the ride.

Just need to clarify.

How about the normal Suzy-Q's meeting place, the DD on 102 in North Smithfield?

Possible route could be out 44 west into CT, then 32 north. I took that route home from the Big-E in western, MA last week and it was pretty nice.

I'm not sure if Mike & Paul (the Busa brothers) read forums, so if you knew how to get a hold of them, you could ask them as well.

I'd say probably for time, meet 9:30ish, roll out at 10:00. Any earlier than that and it'll probably be about 45-50 for temp.

I sent an invite to everyone in Red's group on grouprider.com.

For those who haven't signed up for his group, the route info can be found at http://www.grouprider.com/rides.php?...ide&rideid=729 .

ALL ARE INVITED and the route is tentative. Plans are to meet at the DD on rt 102 in North Smithfield, RI at 8:30am, roll out at 9:00.

Tentative destination is the Vanilla Bean in Putnam, CT.

That's like an hour and a 1/2 of Slab for me just to get there...

am i retarded or something because i can't find the "vanilla bean cafe" in putnam on main st. "450 Deerfield Rd, Pomfret, CT" is what i'm finding on mapquest

**EDIT** nevermind, according to vanilla beans site 85 main st what its called although owned by vanilla bean. Formally known as "Vine Bistro" according to mapquest.

It's like 75 miles, starting at 9am.. I would think you could get home by evening.. where you at concord, NH or Mass ??

if i can wake up in time i'm down (i couldn't find anyone local to ride with ). Man i gotta leave at 7 just in case i get lost getting to the meet spot (i'm horrible with directions).

btw ; what type of pace are we riding, i'm not sure if i feel like riding the duc or sv
