traffic *back* on 119 was bad. Rt 2 might have been a better option, although i did hit the "roller coster road" which is always fun. We should have done a detour down that road when we went by it the first time.

And also, always good to meet some new people (drool over CBR), and see the normal "troublemakers".

You guys didnt happen to be on route 2 in Gill/Erving at any point today, did you? I saw 4 bikers in leather and had an idea it might have been you guys, but I wasnt sure.

Yeah Sedition you should of went 78 to Rt2

78 is a decent pretty fast road with some good turns.
I jumped on Rt 2 to boston fromt there by myself and road fast with no traffic all the way back.

I rode almost all the way to Mt Greylock with the pack, then I needed to turn around and head home. Would have been a nice rided except for the cop who thought I was going too fast through the twisties of rt 2. She said she clocked me at 71 in a 45. $260.00

Guess I will be making a trip out there some time next month to visit the court house when I try to appeal it.

We waited for you in North Adam's for about an hour, then went back to find you and eventually gave up. Post up when you get back so we know you are alright.

Greylock was pretty damn spiffy. Definitly liked the road up and down!

Great ride today guys. Couldn't of asked for a better group of courtious responsible riders.

Plan 1 But Mr magistrate there is no way that I could have been going that fast I had cars both behind me and in front of me, it was moderate traffic as it was a sunday after noon

Plan 2 Mr Magistrate, there was some car behind me that was tailing me and getting very aggressive, so I sped up so that I could pull over in a safe spot to allow hime to pass me

Any other Ideas?

I could care less about the amount of the fine, it's messing up my step 9 that I care about

Guys, I am sooo sorry about that. I ended up making a wrong turn somehow, and came out on some road down towards Adams. I had to leak really bad, so I did, and got gas, and After turning around a few times, Managed to figure out where I was and got back into Rt2 in North Adams, but it must have been an hour later. I didnt even think about going back to the Mountain to try to find you, I should have. I wish I had someone's cell number to say 'go! im fine!' ~

I took my time going home, Rt 161 then 91 and Pike. made it to Framingham by 8 PM. You guys are way to fast for me!!

I *heart* the KLR. Aside from the land speed incident, the "short cut" through the woods was prolly one of the more amusing moments of the day. Iglu is always good for a smile.

as a budding lawyer, I can't give you a specific idea as to how to get out this, but i can suggest underlaying concepts that may provide a possible defense.

if you get caught breaking the law, you can defend in a few ways. either show a compelling justification for breaking the law, show that the law was in fact not broken, or show that the law is unjust / illegal / or misapplied. your on the right track with both ideas you mentioned. your prolly better going with compelling justification, but that may be harder to establish. a cop is going to be considered an 'expert witness' based on his profession, thus the magistrate will give more weight to his claim that a law was broken than to yours that it was not broken. as showing the law is illegal / unjust, etc...if you can pull that one off, then you'll make some major money as a defense lawyer.

Good luck fighting it! You have nothing to lose. Good friend of the family is a local cop and he's on the S.W.A.T. team. He said in most cases the fine will be reduced just by showing up. If you have your shit together there's a decent chance you could beat it.
