I have already done 116 a few times this year but solo. I am looking for anyone who wants to meet up at the Exxon Station just off the highway exit. I had met up with some of you at the same spot last October. Anyone interested in riding from there to North Adams and back? Longterm forecast looks auspicious.......
might i suggest this route ... and i'll see if i have my bike done by sunday
I should be down barring bad weather or family obligations
Friends don't let friends wave to Can Ams
Yeah its not the best conditioned road, but where else are you gonna find more twisties/mile locally? It still isn't horriblethe group wanted to kill me for taking them down 8A.

I havent seen 8a yet this year, last ride in october it had just rained hard the night before and there was a ton of pine needles everywhere, I had a few "pucker" moments on that ride....
Weather still looks good. I am thinking mid-late morning- 10-11am or so.. I will keep this thread going as we get closer to Sunday
all the roads took a beating this winter.
8a isn't that bad, then again some of the dirt roads aren't that bad either
many of the roads have dirt mid corner from last weeks rain

ok i think i wanna go ride that way this weekend. where is this exit?
any interest from other local hardcores for the usual southern VT?
"fuckit!"
when you get to north adams, take 8 north. It turns into 100 in VT.
Take that up to 9 and head back over Hogback
Weather is not iffy for Sunday- scattered showers...... It might be a game-time decision if I head out. I got caught in rain last weekend and ruined the fun of the ride. I am not going to get caught 2 weeks in a row.......
I'm in.
I may be bringing a friend or two... 10:00AM at this gas station, right?

Heres a condom. I figured since youre acting like a dick, you should dress like one too.
Guys- Thunder showers by noon in Western MA. Based on the hour it takes to get out there for me and back I am gonna have to pass on my own organized ride.. I will resechedule.

I rode 116 to 8a on accident yesterday as I missed the turn for 112. 8a had some sand in a few corners and the surface was a little chewed up from winter but not too bad. 116 was awesome though, some nice sweepers and minimal traffic!! I then headed onto rt2 west into NY where I am for the wknd. I had forgotten how good the riding was in western MA after living in Boston for the past 7 years haha. Probably head back through VT Monday to avoid the holiday highway traffic.
