Oh sure, now you guys wanna chat. I have to choose between FRS/GMRS radio or radar detector right now. Tomorrow might be a radar detector day. I'll bring a radio so you can try it out anyway.

Every year it's the same shit, I tell myself, I'm going to steer clear of Bike week and ride Vermont or Maine and then I go to Bike week, sit in traffic, buy over-priced garbage food and see a bunch of hogs riding around on ....hogs.
I'm all done with that place.
I aim to RIDE. Best place to do that is away from the festivities.
I'm game if you wanna ride Vermont, Eastern NH.

Great to meet you. Glad you made it to the Duc Demos today...even if you didn't get there early enough to demo any of the bikes! It was certainly a riot having our own private road racing course! Hope to get to ride with you sometime.

i should have. i thought those guys were going to head home back road at first.

laconia just peaks my curiosity. i ahve no idea locania event was that huge. i mean wow! you kind of need to prepare for such event to have some fun. can't just ride by in leather and walking around with no cash. now that i have seen it i dont think i'll be going up there again.

Laconia is okay during the rally mid week. Sunny weekends are crazy crowded though with a lot of time roasting in traffic. There's a reason most of the riders are not wearing gear. They'd fry wearing it. It's not like you're going to low-side at speed when you're walking bikes at idle in traffic. Once you're finally through the traffic then it's a lot of walking around from booth to booth in the sun. Again, another time to pressure cook yourself in leathers.

Loudon is a different story. You can usually get there without traffic other than the occasion back up at the tolls.

I use to go up every year, and now I stay as far away as possible.
I'd much rather head into VT or western mass for a nice ride

Motorcycle weekend for me is about the Louden Classic. I went today and it was awesome! Great back road ride up. Great folks (12 of us hooked up at Seacoast), and great racing. I avoid the Weirs like Giberneau avoids Rossi....

Yea no shit Cheese, I was doing the 5 feet and stop all the way in, So I had my helmet off and on my tank, and doesn't a UNH rent-a-cop have the balls to walk up to me tell me that I have to have my helmet on and my shield down if I do not have Eye Protection (no sunglasses) So me being the wise ass I am, I tell him "well sir as you can see I do have a wind shield" to which his reply is "would you like a $75 fine wise ass" .. I didn't think I could get my helmet on that fast.. Any ways didn't I look stupid in my leathers with a helmet on in that crowd .... Needless to say I don't think I even had my bike running most of the time, it was roasting my nuts..

I had a similiar experience the first time I ever went up. I was new to bikes and had no idea you needed some form of eye protection. This was back before I knew about NESR and I went up with a bunch of squids except they all had sunglasses. So since we were doing stop and go and I was roasting, I took my helmet off and locked it on the rear seat. Sure enough one of the 'cops' got in my face about the no eyewear rule. The group I was with was leaving without me so I was like 'yea I'll get some' and started to drive off. That's when the cop jumped in from of my bike and was like 'get your helmet on now or you're getting a ticket'. So I had to stop the bike on the main drag and hold up traffic while I unlocked my helmet all the while being surrounded by pissed off guys on harleys and me being the only japanese bike.

Ahhh ... The Ducati Demo area. I was moving pretty good on the ST3 when I demoed it up there.
