Meh... he just said that if I hadn't taken off like a bat out of hell coming out of the corner he wouldn't have chased us.

Then the backup that he called, which happened to be the chief of police from the NEXT town, said he would be radioing ahead to let his guys know we were coming... although come to think of it, they were probably both the only cops in those little towns.
