Bored out of my mind , I have a crazy Idea .
One Week/10 days How many Track Days at different Tracks could be done ??
Dumb idea ?
...kinda of like "The Endless Summer"...but motorcycles instead of surfboards!?

oh baby, that would be an awesome vacation!

Me likey.
If you wanted to do it in the winter, you'd have to go down south, maybe hit Road Atlanta, Homestead, Daytona, stuff like that. That would be awesome.
Next summer, East Coast tour - hit Mont Tremblant in Canada, Loudon, Summit Point, VIR, Road Atlanta, and Daytona. Should only cost about $10,000.![]()
i kinda wanna try a race at mont tremblant....thats the one right in montreal right? only like 5 hours away....could be fun.
Well , I guess its not such a bad Idea ........
I'm going to start looking into it for a late spring , early summer deal !
A list of tracks and where they are is a start .
Then distance , hotels ............ It could be done ??
Any other thoughts/concerns ?
To me, getting 2 to 4 people together and renting a motorhome and pulling a trailer is the way to do this.
You can sleep, eat and go to the bathroom, all while driving to your next place. This saves a bunch of time.
Also, add up all the hotel fees and restaurant charges, and the motorhome rental doesn't seem too bad.
And with the gas tank sizes, you can go about 600 miles between fillups... saving even more time.
And finally, a lot of tracks don't have all the amenities that Loudon has, so having a full house with bathroom right there at the track with you makes you more comfortable... especially if you happen to hit a rainy trackday.
I had been thinking about this idea before I saw this thread and the above definitely sounds like the right way to go....now just find someone who already owns a motorhome and rides or doesn't mind going on vacation to cart around a bunch a hooligansand you've got it made.
(they might also own a brewery, but I wouldn't hold it against them if they didn't)
combine the ideas from highsider and tony and we will have our own reality show for trackdays, its getting better.
but seriously I would do it in a heart beat, jeff, I don't own a RV nor brewery, but I love to do all different tracks.

I just picked a date 05/01/2008 for 10 days
$1125
you get 900 miles
900 miles would be close , depending on how far south .
There was a $288 charge for something that I didn't pay much mind to AT THIS TIME !
So for shits and giggles a 30 foot RV for a week $1500 !
Hotel on wheels for the week , OK Not bad ....
Matt....where are you boy?

It is 1200 miles (or close to it) to get from MA to Deals Gap, so mileage charge would grow. Road Atlanta has to be a couple hours from there. One place to think about it is Barber. You could also look into NESBA as they have a lot of trackdays and offer great discounts (join fee of $75.00/year). As you can see I too have thought about this type of adventure.
In 2005 I had a month off from work, from mid May to mid June I did 7 trackdays (Vir S, VIR N, Road Atlanta, Barber, Barber, Summit Main, Summit JC). Rode with NESBA on the weekends and did touring around midweek on the street bike, which worked out great because traffic was lighter than a weekend. My favorite part of the trip was the Barber museum and riding the north Georgia mountains (IMO better than Deals Gap), can't wait to go back. RV sounds like a good upgrade for next time...... if there ever is a next time?
My ears are ringing ........ Dave this is excactly the type of trip I was babbling about earlier this summer.
I:
have a 35' RV that sleeps 4 - 6 comfortably, am able to borrow a trailer that'll hold 4 bikes - gear - tools, am addicted to TD's, will have 10 days vacation, 5 personal days, a project bonus check, people on NESR that want to do this too, like to take long rides with friends, am not gay like Denno, walks on the beach are optional, sunsets are a sad time, and I know where to buy a brewery.
I had in mind even if this doen't go, to get to Homestead - Miami to do the Penguin school and rook race in late November. *aaaahhhhkkeemmm* I smell an sv coming round the corner ..... any one know of any for under $3500 race ready
