Gonna take my chances and give this a shot, could be fun
Motard ride...
I've got a decent loop of bumpy paved roads, gravel roads and a few trails put together to kill a half day or so of riding. I can extend it more if you're up for more trails
Motard would be the weapon of choice, but pick your own poison. I've riden the trail sections on both my Tards so it is doable with smoothie tires.
Group ride rules stickied in this section DO aply, read them please
Start point is at my house. PM for address or directions
Full tank of fuel, or at LEAST a 50 mile range with what's in your tank.
Kickstands UP at 9am sharp.
Obviously street registered/insured bikes only.
Plenty of safe parking if you truck/trailer your bike.
Bring something to drink+snacks
There's a gas stop planned about 50 miles into the loop. It'll be about the same back to my house but if the group is up for it, we could make a detour, add a bunch more miles, another gas stop and a late (ish) lunch.
The pace won't be crazy but should be fun and exciting.
Am I forgetting anything?

Think I'll be ok on my KTM250exc 2 smoker? 50 miles is doable on it. I have a 3.5 gallon tank.

You'll be fine, though there is about 30-40% pavement so it's gonna chew your knobbies if you don't have Motard wheels.
I'm in central/western RI near the Ct line. I can get to Derry in an hour and 45.
I'll do some later on for sureI think mid to late summer will be more fun anyways
Yes, you can handle it. I'll bring my camera, you'll be fine![]()

i would be up for it but cant get weekends off unless very far in advance or on a vacation. i plan on taking a vacation for the loudon classic races/bike week, so if you plan one for one of those weekends it would be sweet. Plus i can attempt to lug my DSLR and hopefully of a flip camera or helmet cam.

I may have to try and wake up for this, looks like a good chance to meet some "brand name" NESR members, won't know till next week. Need to pick up some new boots too, caught a few rocks with the Foot Out last time.
I'm guessing this is some inside joke, but if your serious I survived portions of it 2 weeks ago on my 1st motarded ride with only a few slight washouts so I'd bet you'll have no problems.
Ok fak it I'm in. PM me directions.
I got's a trials tire on the back. "Yes it's a trials tire" fuckin rookie!!

MX/offroad boots offer the best protection, and they clean up easier after a day of riding a tard through the mud puddles.
If you're front end starts to wash on the dirtroad sections, get back on the gas
You're going to be cheating on the trail sections
The next rear tire for my KTM is going to be a trials tire
Keith, you're welcomed to come down Saturday night if you don't feel like traveling all in one day
