I totally forgot about the hotel.....anyone have extra room?
I'd like to suggest leaving late on Saturday night to get ahead of any traffic that develops anywhere north of DC....
Baxley has some special pricing on 'blemished' chocks
Baxley Trailer Company
I've been using a sport chock for a long time an love it.
As far as the trailer, the floor is plywood so if you don't have a chock we can just screw down a couple of 6-8" 2x4 on either side of the front tire. Along with a 4 point tie down that works fine.

Yeah that Baxley is the best on the market.
Bergs what hotel are you talking about ?
between the RV and the suites there will be plenty of room for you to rest your wittle head
ps I will have extra 2x4's and screws with screwing apparatus on hand for the unfortunate ones
If you are that worried about traffic on sat mid morn then we can always take the 84 to scranton and shoot the 81 to VA. I checked the mapping it's like an hour longer and way more hilly but if traffic is expected to be that bad then maybe the peace of mind will be worth the extra few dollars in going around the city

i don't mind if paul stays with us, it would lower the cost and looks like the suite is pretty spacious. dave and kim, what do you think?
Carlton
My facebook
Suites aren't really gigantic...but there is a lot of floor space...a lot. They have two queen beds in each so its all a matter of how cozy you all want to be. They do charge $15.00 per person/per night for additional past 2. And if you want a cot you can get that for another $15.00. The way we're doin' it is Kim in a bed, me in another and Carlton on an inflatable bed he's bringing.
Also, if I remember right, there are showers on the bottom floor...under the garages...so there is always an opportunity for everyone to get clean without getting in each others way. Its a nice setup!

If you guys don't mind me on the floor....I mean, I gotta sleep somewhere...
I meant to reply to this earlier...
I drove a box truck for a couple years and having done a trip similar to this one, I've found the best time to leave is late at night....between 11 pm and 1 am. Only stops for tolls and gas at that hour and no one is on the road to hamper the driving progress. You can pretty much draft the truckers for countless miles and, as an added bonus, if they aren't speeding there's a reason why...![]()

Everything sounds good...I don't care when we leave and I don't care when we get back, and I don't care if we use 2X4s,...
But, I can't frigg'n wait till we get there.

That's right, back to a 2 cylinder, 3 cylinder, and a 4 cylinder.
I still haven't figured out who is more excited about this trip DucDave or Bergs
bregs although it would be wicked cool to have the convoy down to VIR if ya have the need for speed this is a free country we wouldn't want to hold ya back from leaving when you want or geting pie eyed before your first track day

if he gets to VIR early on sun afternoon and there's nothiong to do for ...say .... 12 hours and drinks beer for the next several hours and tries to get up and do a trackday it would not be a smart choice. but if he stays with the RV and we get there later in the day there would be plenty of distraction so he wouldn't drink as much and might not have the possibility of being dehydrated for his first TD
