This sucks. I dropped off my motorcycle at Land Air last Monday around 10am. Needed an inspection and could use a valve adjustment. I can do valves, not bad at all but figured it was in for inspection anyways, they may as well since I don't fit my fingers in that bike too well and I figured it would take me longer to do and I wanted to ride!!!I had made an appt, asked about gaskets being in stock for it and told no problem. Guess there was a communication breakdown. Maybe I wasn't clear or whatever. Either way today is tuesday and still no bike.
Last week it was wed at the latest, then friday, then mon, now it is this wed.
So....either I borrow the wife's ninja250...or I am out of luck....
So, I may see you guys tonight...who knows, maybe the gasket will miraculously show up today. We need an emotional support forum for those who have to go through bike withdrawal....I swear I'm getting the shakes..![]()
Wow! That's pretty crappy. It's been great weather for riding, and your bike is locked up in their shop. Yeah, I'd be pretty well postal at this point. Bum luck man!
I only had to read this far before knowing that the story would not have a happy ending...
You're probably behind this guy in line: Landair service
We now have a Tornado Watch issued () and I heard that there was a severe thunderstorm warning, complete with golf ball sized hail possible. Hopefully it either holds off or moves through quickly, I don't want to miss two bike nights in a row! Everything looks peachy right now though, maybe it's another case of crazy weather forecasters.
I heard that the storm will hit hard around 6 pm , be crazy for about an hour, then pass. Who knows...
Ditto on not missing bike night, its been too long since i've been.
If you don't like the weather in VT
Wait 15 minutes and it will be different.
Maybe this will deter all the squids. Hot weather usually brings them out. I've see so many people on bike in shorts and t-shirts these past couple of days its unreal. We don't need them at Donny's.

Haha, nice Doc. Hey, better piss them off a little then visit them in the hospital and poke the scabs.![]()
Bike Night tonight is looking iffy for me. I have a big project to get out tomorrow at work, and there's a nasty-looking storm rolling in. What with the dire weather forecasts, I just moved my V-Strom out of the motorcycle parking spot and up next to the building. At least it'll be harder for a gust of wind to blow it over.
If we get golfball-sized hail, my car is fucked. It has a tempered glass roof.

It's actually nickel sized hail, I was wrong about the golf ball size. Still going to hurt if I have to ride through it.
So take the car to ICCE. Perfect weather for a class!

So go straight to ICCE? Don't pass go? Don't collect $200?
I have to work late and that'll put me on the road from NY at approx 7pm. I'm gonna' have to pass up bike night again...![]()
Pass Go, just at ICCE!!!
collect pizza and drink too...hopefully John will use my bike as a test mule, though I'm sure he's got one set up there already.

Holy crap, the temp dropped 20 degrees in like 30 minutes. Looks like most of the rain will be past us when 6:00 rolls up on us, which means I should be on the bike. Even if the weather is crappy I'll be there, I don't mind driving to ICCE in the rain (3/4 mile from my house)
What a fakin' storm!!!!
That shit was crazy...I got SOAKED on the way home, lightening everywhere, it was awesome!!!!
Great night tonight, I know there were a bunch of people at Donny's too...nice little suspension session, thanks for setting that up Old Man!

+1 on the shindig last night at ICCE.
Good group of guys showed up and really nice atmosphere down there. It was my first time down at John's shop and I dig it. Its to bad we couldn't hold something there more often. It was also nice that he sprung for Pizza and thanks for the soda Doc.
I almost beat the storm home. I got to exit 15 before it really started raining. for some reason though, I think I circumvented the worst of the storm before I made it home to our cat going nuts because of it.
I am hoping to have another class with John or another instructor in the future. What do you think of a small fee to help offset the pizza for John?
I think it turned out pretty well considerig the rain.
We can't meet there all the time because we won't be able to pose if we do!
Give me ideas on other classes you might like to see.
I am trying to get a Dyno for runs and possibly permision for a squidly burn out pit. (gotta get some spectators for that!)
Red Bull girls will be at Donny's next week! Tell your friends!!

Def up for a donations/fee to help out John. Last night rocked. Well worth the show.
Thanks to John for the pizza and Doc for the soda.
Yeah, the storm was pretty cool. Great to see so many people show up despite it.
Here's to one day closer to the weekend![]()
Thank you Doc and John, that was great. Sorry I didn't stay longer, but I did beat the rain home (wasn't that hard to do).
