I know a few people that work at the NY Pizza Oven in Essex...
I don't think thats a bad idea for a spot.
Doc: it's smaller than Donny's inside, but more room than like a Subway or something.

Or even the VT soup company....
Places are good to name off but they need to fit a criteria... do we not agree?![]()

Are you talking about Manhattan Pizza across from the train station? I had thought of there or the Lincoln Inn - lots of parking and plenty of room inside.
Another thought is the Ground Round - right on Williston Road, lots of visibility, plenty of parking.
As an FYI, as far as I know Al's has been owed by the same folks for at least the last 15+ years.
Kim, Bill and Lee?
Ground Round I like... but no real views of the bikes from inside.
Manhattan Pizza would be too small I am afraid. That side street is kinda like Donny's. He is talking about that other place near the fairgrounds. New York Pizza company
The Stinkin Lincoln is a no go. I know for a fact it is packed.
I like the big parking lot ideas. Keep em coming.
I think we are down to:
1. Ground Round
2. Al's French Fry's
3. That Pizza place next to Moe's
4. Vermont Soup company
5. New York Pizza
6. Waf's Deli
7. Just thought of this one. Friendly's on the corner of Williston and Dorset st. (might be to close to the busiest part of that area.
8. Juniors Pizza in Colchester/Winooski
9. Marco's

The food at Al's is greasy and offers very little options for a diverse group of people. I had mentioned the Ground Round too, right on Williston Road near the airport - high visibility, good menu, and lots of parking.

Doc, you forgot NY Pizza Oven on your list that several people have suggested.
Personally, I'd rather have decent menu options than have a perfect view of the bikes from inside. Hard to see the bikes from inside Donny's, too, although you can see other riders coming in. If we could get the bar area at the Ground Round there are windows overlooking the parking lot.
Perhaps we should narrow it down to a list of three or four top contenders and then do a poll so everyone can have a say.

Are you talking about Leonardos? Same plaza as the tanning place? I don't think they have much seating - mostly delivery.
OK - I have to chime in on the NY Pizza Oven in Essex Jct: it smelled horrible like . . . ummmm - piss. Yup. I turned around and left. So unless something drastic has happened (and someone has been there recently and knows otherwise), I'd prefer somewhere . . . cleaner.
Leonardo's is take out only but Chicken Charlies has seating for 50 with good views to the bikes and ample parking. (and the owner seems Moto friendly.)
PLUS you get Starbucks and Moe's right next store!!!
I think we might be able to work something out here with PLENTY of incentives form 4 different places.

I think Marco's can work too...there is usually a generous amount of spots out front, and out back, with room to park bikes pretty much anywhere...my boy John is one of the Managers, and he rides, all the guys know me by face pretty much. I'll go talk to em today...and the food is better than Donny's (IMO) and much cheaper!
It's easier to get in and out of than Chicken Charlies, and has just as good visibility while having better food and a better atmosphere!
I'll swing by the NY Pizza Oven as well on my way home, I like pizza, I think it goes with motorcycles really well!!!!

is it just me or did the posts on the last two pages change a few times...looks like someone shuffled them up.
*baffled*
Incentives are good![]()
I am on Williston Road all the time. Let me know what restaurants are being considered for what night(s) and I can check out the lots for parking spots. Most places usually seem fairly packed but it would be good to actually visit and see first hand on a night being considered.
