I just got back from a 750 mile trip on the SV (Ow my ASS!!!). I'll be there next week if SWMBO lets me...
Did anyone hear about a "John" owns a Blue SV, hitting his head? Something about falling off a wall downtown?
Sorry I couldn't make it. Spent the evening wrenching with John from ICCE.
Hmmm....not a huge turnout tonight but their were lots of new faces though which was cool. Hope you guys have a great week.
How many bikes?
Yeah, Jon is a good friend of mine. He has been there every week on an '07 blue SV650S. Not sure how he fell, but he hit his head really hard and had to have surgery to have a blood clot removed from his brain. He is walking around a bit now, but I don't know any more details because he was sleeping when I saw him and I wanted to give his brother some space.
Ouch, thats too bad about jon. I think i met him but I am terrible with names. I remember faces mostly so I'm sure i would recognize him.
I showed up a little late. There were probably 8 bikes when i got there. John, Dave, Keith, Marc, and a couple others that I hadn't meet before riding 2-up. We need nice weather again to bring them all out.
Threadjack... Saw SV650N and markbvt on Saturday afternoon, I-89 Northbound before the Williston exit. You passed me in my cage.
Assume you guys were getting back from NH? Must've been a long ride?! How many miles?
I can't comment on how it happened, I wasn't there.
He is out of the hospital and resting at home. His brother is taking care of him for now, and I'm not sure if he needs anything or not, I haven't been able to talk to him. I do know that he was really looking forward to the track day on June 3rd, and I don't see any way that he is going to be able to go now.
I'm not sure if he wants his full name posted here (some people are bothered by that kind of thing, not sure how Jon feels about it). I'll PM it to you.
310 miles round trip :) I was a little sore, the SV is not meant for those kinds of trips on the stock seat. Jon was actually thinking about going with us, and I just assumed that he was sleeping in
Edit: his user name on here is village idiot

I'm not sure if he has his computer available to him, but I'm sure he'll get PMs eventually.
Also Kim (big dude), Kristen (the wife) two more Daves (well, one goes by David), Sam, Tyler and a gentleman and his wife, can't remember their names though.
And Jason...ya gotta remember my name...it's easy...
Please keep us updated on Jon's condition would you? Looking forward to good news.
where's highsider been?
He is a pansie and never rides.
Yeah, we rode over the Kanc via VT Rt 302, NH Rt 116, and NH Rt 112, did a little sightseeing on the eastern end of the Kanc, then took a rollercoaster ride on Hurricane Mtn Rd, looped back into North Conway and had lunch, then headed homewards. We managed to pass most of the traffic before the twisty sections of the Kanc and had a great return trip. About 320 miles total for me. Great ride.
Keith, please do keep us updated on Jon's condition, and if you talk to him, pass on my best wishes.

I might be down as well, can you give a more precise location? Something I can plug into my GPS?
+1 on that, though Ty, if I can make it why don't I just meet up with you after work since I am right there as well...
How late you all going to ride? I told a few guys I would do a bonfire at my house thurs night...I suppose it would be rude to not show to my own bonfire right? :naughty
I could probably do around 5:30 in Richmond. Now let's pick a spot...
Jay - Yea...you could meet @ my place if your in Essex around then...no problem.
Let's meet at the Volunteers Green. It's the park on the village side of the green bridge.
If you are coming from 89, take exit 11. Head east on Rt 2. Turn right at the first traffic light onto Bridge Street. The next traffic light you'll come across is at the green bridge. Turn right into the park before getting in line at the light.
Okay, cool....thanks for the directions.
Everybody good with that??
J- you're welcome to meet me in Essex / Williston beforehand...that was you I saw in Colchester today was it not?
Anyway, I'll most likely be there tomorrow bearing any unforseen craziness (or work being ridiculous).
I'll try to make it, but no promises
Yeah, thought that was you. Looks like I am gonna have to ditch this time around :( I got a call at 10 last night from a guy I haven't seen in years. Apparently he is getting married (poor schmuck) and wants to come by and say hi. I am waiting to hear a time from him, but if he ends up saying he won't be by till late:pray: then I will call ya and find a time to meet up with you.
I'm in...530ish at the Village Green Richmond, (thought I posted something last night about it)...see ya'll there
