I started working on it. Took this and a couple others yesterday on Rt. 17. this was picnic table corner. three of us went. I got more pictures I just need to get the motivation to post them to a thread.
Awesome, Bell, looks good, real good!
So when we hittin up T**** Rd?
Nice.
Your next assignment: work on grinding down the little nubbins on the ends of your footpegs.
My last trip over T*** Rd flattened the ones on my V-Strom, but that's a little easier than doing it on a Gixxer. Probably also a little scarier -- I leaned enough to run out of tread on one of those turns and felt the rear end start to slide. Meanwhile Mr Bread on his Ducati 999 was disappearing into the distance ahead of me. I want a sportbike.

Nice pictures Jason! You gonna start doing these for the group? :D
I love my GSXR, but I can tell a HUGE difference when I lean the one I have (99 gsxr750w) and when I lean a ninja or something newer and not quite so bulky. That's what I get for liking the older sport bikes rather then the new thin and trim ones. I've never ridden a V-Strom, I assume you like the ride? They look pretty nimble.:topic: :):)
Check It Out...a little Bike Night UPDATE!!!!
Doc and I went to Pizza Hut last week and had lunch...(the Buffet was late so we missed on going to Quintin Bro's) but we had a nice little talk about Bike Night and some little things to spice it up (just a little)...Priority #1 was getting rid of the Drunk Parking Dude...we'll take care of that this week.
Stuff That We Want to Make Happen:
-Keep on rocking like we do
-Dyno Runs at Quintin Bro's (end of July)
-Gear Raffle (August)
-End of the Summer Ride and BBQ (My House)
-MORE GROUP RIDES
-Thrusday Night Churn and Burns
-Sunday Morning Rides
Nothing super dooper or anything (remember that Doc LOVES Events) but just a couple things to bring people together, and most importantly, ride...posing is tons of fun, but riding is the down and dirty.
I'll be posting the Thrusday and Sunday rides up here after the Fourth, and obviously let you know about the the other stuff.
This week!
Same ole' gig...nice and sleazy, 8:00 Parade Lap...free Soda and Red Bull!
Weather doesnt matter, lets get 50 bikes at Donn'ys, stack em up nice and neat...
Also, if anyone knows people at CycleWise or LandAir, or if anyone would like to help me get some the above "events" set-up...PM me, we'll chat and the like!
SEE YA DONNY'S!!!!
Just curious if anyone has a stock SV650S 2003+ (or very close to stock) that goes to bike night. I'm realizing more and more how modified my bike is (I got it used) and would like to get a better idea of all of the work done on it so I'd like to compare to something stock. Thanks!
BTW, I really enjoy taking photos and would like to get a nice collection of some sport bike images, I'll try to set something up at a group ride if anyone is interested. :) (I also have a video camera.)
If you come to Bike Night sometime you can check out Village Idiot's aka Jon has a stock SV650S...well, kinda, more stock than yours I beleive!
She will never come to bike night. She just does flybys.
Vix was one of the first people I talked to about bike night and she never shows. :mecry:
I promise to show up tommorrow with the little woman .
Try to save me a big parking spot for the Busa and ZZR.
They have Pasta and fries and Gyros and other food!
I never see coffee being made but I can get ya free Red Bull.
Hell I will buy you a coffee from up the street if that is what it takes to get more female riders to show up!
thats a true gentlemen...print this page and brign it around as proof that they still exist!
Are you free tomorrow Vix for our ride? You could come take some pics on our ride.
or do you actually work for a living unlike the rest of us.
Just got back from the NY ride.
Wet morning on the good roads, but a great afternoon to finish.
Should be a good showing at Donny's tonight.
Those of you who didn't make it tonight missed more drunk parking guy hijinxs as well as Demitrius (sp) taking more pictures from every possible angle (beside, behind, in front of and on TOP of the stone wall inside of the traffic circle). Oh, and some dude on a vintage Puch Monzna towing his bulldog behind him in one of those child trailers.
Apologies to the guy we left behind at Donny's. We were on Malletts Bay Ave when I realized that we left you behind but by the time we went back you had already left.
You missed a pretty nice "tour de Milton".
Thanks for leading that ride, Justin. Nice way to cap off Bike Night, and there were a few roads mixed in there that I hadn't ridden before.

Another nice turn out!
Thanks Justin for leading the Parade Lap.
Please feel free to ignore the drunk "parking" guy as well...
I'm out the door to Bellows Falls and Brattleboro, I'll see ya'll next week, have a great 4th of July, have fun and be safe!
PEACE
When I left Winooski heading south on 89 there was a rider down in the northbound lane between the Burlington and Winooski exits. Partway through the area that they had reduced to one lane for construction. I couldn't see much but the bike laying in the median, and a fellow rider stopped in the construction zone. Hope all is OK with them!
For the record, it was more of a post-Bike Night ride than a Parade Lap. Four of us just snuck away and headed out for a 30 mile (or so) ride, then went home. I'm thinking that breaking up into small groups and heading out for rides works a lot better than the big-ass Parade Lap.

I like the parade lap. It shows people that there is a group riders that get together every teusday night and maybe it will bring more people to Bike night.
As for small groups of riders we really should be doing a Thursday night ride and a sunday morning ride. :D
Sorry I wasn't there fellas, too much stuff going on and I needed the time off.
