Just a tip for those of you riding 123/ 123A west of rte10 in NH. Basically the towns of Marlow,Alstead,Acworth and Walpole. These roads were severly damaged during the flooding in October of last year. The roads were made useable for winter, but expect rough pavement, patched spots and detours. As well as some missing bridges! Also don't be surprised if you say to your self "hey wasn't there a house there last year!"

Did a ride through there yesterday. Roads weren't too bad and traffic was void. It's unbelievable how much damage water can do. I didn't recognize the area as I knew it.

Life is a challenge. You can take the risk and experience it, or sit back and watch it go by. I choose to experience it. (W.L.Heath)
Fear is the incubated subjective perception of the inevitable.
Are you joking? Thats the best part of 123 right now, its all fresh pavement in Alstead. East of there is probably the worst stretch of road I've ever ridden, or at least it was 2 weeks ago with all the frost heaves. The newly paved stretch along the river in Alstead is mint, just before you get to 12A.
I know a little about everything, and alot about nothing.
We rode 123 a few weeks ago, it sucks, used to be good...
Now to find new routes for '06...
