Long range forecast is looking great so here goes....
Thinking of doing something like this:
Saturday: Afternoon rip starting in Exeter, NH making our way over to 1a in Newburyport, headed down to Rte 127 and 127a around Cape Ann, down to Beverly, and catching 97 back up. New route to me so suggestions are welcome... (tentative route attached) and yes this will be a rare opportunity to catch me in a helmet!! (as alwaysafter the ride)
Sunday: Thinking about re-attempting the Mohawk/Taconic/Molly Stark Trails out west, or a final White Mountain rip before the crowds roll in for bike week. Still up in the air and open for suggestions and ideas.
Let's get some plans for this weekend!

I will be down for Saturday tentatively, though I will just break off from the group in Beverly to stop at my other house for a few.
I'm gonna try to make this. Where in Exeter do we plan on meeting?
Let's say meet at the Mobil station on Rte 27 right at exit 9.
...My guess (based on the roads and communities we'd be riding through) is this will not be a very 'fast' ride...
As we get closer we'll set a definate meet time, but typically we do a late morning/early afternoon meet on Saturdays.
Sounds good!
Ewwwww...wish I could. Between silly fuggin' parties this weekend and trying to wrap up my firewood though...no can...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
If we were to do the mountains, I'd probably head north via 28/16/25/153, hit HMR to cut across to 113, crank up through evans south to north, over to gorham, down 16 through pinkham, and perhaps HMR again to hit 113 south to head back (that will bring us into southern maine where you can catch 95 south back home if you're in the Stoneham area)...
Just a suggested route. Nothing is firmed yet so we can change things around. Although the kanc is nice, slabbing down 93 home sux, and after a long day of riding rte 3 is just way too slow IMO.

Sounds good man. We could always run north on the west side, hit the kanc, cut across Bear Notch, up through pinkham, across HMR then down 153 and 28 and 107 home. Pretty flexible. Its a long day of riding so we'd probably have a pretty early kickstands up time 930-10ish at the latest. Just can't party as hard saturday night as we did last week
This time of year, 302 between 93 & 16 is very under traveled and it's a great road. We ripped through there in the CTS last week and had a blast! With schools up here getting out so late this year (lots of snow days) and half the shit up there closed & boarded up due to the economy, it's a fuckin' ghost town! Don't count it out...

I could get down with Saturday. What time do you plan on meeting? I just gotta do my brakes and and oil change in the AM, but can probably do it Friday night if you are leaving early saturday morning.
I typically make Saturday's a later ride .. .probably looking at a 1pm rally time up here... if you wanted to meet us a bit closer to home??? Medfed is a bit of a slab ride to the NH Seacoast.
Either way... Im looking at 1pm (I have to meet a Harley group in Londonderry at 9am do to an atricle on their ride) and we're gonna be in a limo till 3am Friday night for my buddies 21st so the later the better :-)
We're not going west this weekend Leaf? Either way I'm down for an all day ride sunday. My girl is working all day, damn the bad luck.

Hey I said 'west' or 'north'. I was waiting on you guys. Chris said it looks like hes down this week as well. I wasn't gonna do it alone is all.
We haven't chatted since hangover central
we need to get details together either way. stands up time, meet place, place to meet additional massholes etc etc :-)
get at me when you get a chance and we'll figure it all out
Depending on how much I punish my liver on Friday, I may be in for Saturday. That route is all of my favorite stompin' grounds.
You'll definitely want to do the speed limit shuffle for 90% of it though, the boys are out in force, especially through 1A.

No excuses bro... we're gonna be in a limo till 2 or 3 am for my buddies 21st then full keg afterparty at the house.. and I have a 9am appt to interview/photo a harley group in Londonderry... I'm gonna wake up with my liver sitting at my office desk saying ' fawk you i'm not getting back in there' and I'm still rippin hard all day LOL
You can do it!!! (besides we need someone who knows the area well LOL!!
I'll post start point and details tomorrow around mid-day!!!
I will add.... this weekends rides will put me at 5k miles this year so far.. first time I've hit 5k miles before the start of summer!
As far as Sunday, it's looking more like a long day on the Mohawk, Taconic and Molly Stark Trails. Stiggy and I will work on definate start and meet locations and get them posted by this time Thursday.

Sunday will need to be an early start. Leaf, I can meet you at 830 at the dunks by my place. I am thinking the rest area on 495s just after the rt3 connector may be a good meetup for others, say around 9. with a 930 stands up time. If anyone from the northshore area would rather meet with me and Leaf, it's the dunks at the intersection of rt121 and rt125 on the haverhill plaistow border.
Be ready for a great ride with great people sunday!

Plan on an all day ride!!

Hey Chris,
I should be able to make the Saturday ride…got to sweet talk the wife.I’ll let you know for sure tomorrow.
I should add.... I'm guessing the Saturday ride will be 2-up friendly (relatively slow, scenic etc)....
