After many emails, PM’s and even a few phone calls, I’ve opted to accept the donation. I really want to do the right thing with the money and many people have pointed out that the right thing may not be to donate to the airfence fund. Some folks were even a little perturbed that I didn’t accept it as they wouldn’t have donated to or donated as much if they knew it was going for fences. I understand this. I hope to hell I didn’t offend anyone as I was literally beside myself not only in shock but in awe that this many people would get together to help out someone who is relatively new to the scene. I was concerned that it was a last minute decision to donate the money to me, however as Ox pointed out, most people knew where the cash was going for quite some time. Frankly it appears as if I was the only one in the dark. Sneaky bastards.

I had an incredible time at the gathering. It was great to meet a lot of you. Thanks to Ox for organizing this and all the sponsors for donating the goods. I’m looking forward to getting back out there in April.

So thank you. No really. Thank you. I have a real hard time asking for help from people and an especially difficult time accepting generosity. I’ll do my damndest to swallow my pride and pay the favor back the next time someone on the board needs it.
