Okay, so not sure what happened to my reply... But let's try this again.. Jopo, I have a buffer you are welcome to borrow if you still need one.
On a non-bike related thing... can you guys help me out and go to www.khitlinphoto.com then vote for my cousing Carolyn and her husband DanteLast night to vote so she can win a wedding prize.
... back to bike related, I am LOVING the weather this week. All kinds of bikes out... Those of you out there, how are the roads dirt wise? Cleaned off at all? I need to get the motor in my bike swapped out so I can get on the road... Winter is over so I can stop avoiding the forums and such and RIDE!
Depends on the road. Overall, not too bad, and the rain today and tomorrow should wash away most of the salt, but there's definitely a lot of sand and grit out there on some of the more rural roads. T Rd is covered with dusty sandy mess at the moment. We all made it through safely on Sunday (albeit slowly), but none of us felt like doing it again.

Thanks for the update Mark! Maybe I'll throw that motor in this next week or so if I can get the exhaust gaskets mailed here in time.
Generally the roads I've been on have been in good shape but there were a couple in Charlotte that were a sandy mess.

I live on sandy birch road which is always the sandiest (ironic? - it's from plow trucks sanding) road around here that I can find, and yesterday's rain helped a lot. Much better now.

Nice to meet some of you folks yesterday; I'm terrible at names, but barely acceptable at faces...so if I see you again, don't be offended if I call you things like "Redbeard" or "Norwich U. dude with white leathers" or "5 gf man".
hah, nice meeting you too. It was good to see a few new faces last night.

Mark: Alex showed up at bike night for the first time this past Tuesday. He just PM'd me (momoney711) and asked for details on the ride. Maybe we should post the details here when you've decided on a meeting spot and such?

Bike Night still happens no matter the weather.
Plus the forecast for this upcoming week has improved drastically!

Started swapping my motor last night so maybe I'll finally make it in this week![]()
Motor is all swapped.. notice while doing so that I need to put a new chain and sprocket on badly. I have the rear but not the front. Going to see if I can get one Tuesday at lunch. Have not started the motor, though I did check to make sure it sounded like it would start okay.... Tomorrow I'll try to get the oil and coolant in and see if it starts. Wish me the best lol!
I still go to Bike Night especially if I know that Catamount is going to be there ... and if I can get my front wheel bearings swapped out. I hope I don't need to do the "blow torch" method... of course, who doesn't like a little fire added to their repair work.![]()
Hey John, I work in the fort now so if you ever need help let me know.

I'm thinking I might swing by shortly to see if anyone still recognizes me...

There was a good showing of the old guard there. It was good to see you guys even if we didn't talk much. Kudos to Parker for still hanging in there despite his handicap.
And by handicap I mean his lack of two wheels.

So I gotta ask, haven't been to Bike Night in a while but didn't Parker just get a new ( to him ) bike last year? Did he crash again ?![]()
