Vt. Woman, 81, Charged In NH Motorcyclist Death

Comments (0)ROYALTON, Vt. -- An 81-year-old Vermont woman is facing a felony negligent driving charge stemming from a collision with a motorcycle that led to the death of a New Hampshire woman.
Police said Wilma Stender of Royalton was charged Tuesday with felony negligent operation, death resulting after the Oct. 23 crash on Vermont Route 110 in Royalton.
Stender turned her car into the path of a motorcycle driven by Norman Lee of Claremont, N.H. His passenger, 45-year-old Sheila Lee, also of Claremont, later died of injuries suffered in the crash, police said.
Stender is due to appear in court on Jan. 11
