Besides bike nites at Donny's is there a plan of rides for us around these parts? Like a trip to Gunstock for the hill climbs or to Weirs during bike week? How about a trip to 112 , Huricane MTn or Mt Washinton?
don't yell at the new guy too hard.

I don't think there are any trips etched in stone yet, but we regularly head over to New York for a day trip. There are some great roads on that side of the pond, and it's not too far away.

I think there are some day rides in the planning stages, and regardless, pay attention to the Rides and Events forum because it's very common for stuff to come together short-term, ie, "hey, anyone want to go for a ride this weekend...?"
Also, I'll have a ride or two per month planned with my Triumph RAT pack, and you're welcome to join us on these rides whether you own a Triumph or not.

Generally we don't plan stuff ahead of time...at least not me, I'm a spur of the moment kinda guy. But putting together a Mt. Washington day trip and heading to the Hill Climbs would be awesome!
Toss some dates out Ray and we'll get people together and make it happen.
Thanks for stepping up as the Group Ride Correspondent!![]()

No, YOU kinda suck at planning rides. :-P
Doc and I are going to work some out. Some of them will probably cross over with my Triumph RAT pack's rides, others won't. If you'd come to Bike Night last night you'd already know about this.
Part of the deal is that we'll split the group up so as not to make it too huge, and keep people with similar paces together. So all the people who want to be squidly will go with you; the people who like a spirited pace in the twisties but otherwise don't want to attract police attention can go with me or Doc; JCBell or someone else can volunteer to take out the n00bs; etc.

Last year Bike night VT did not plan anything but Bike night. There has been talk in the off season and some planning meetings to help determine in what direction Bike Night VT should go.
We have a number of people willing to plan rides this year, we have a schedule being hashed together and we have some events being planned.
Some of those ideas...
Seminars put on by subject matter experts. (not some dude with 3 years or riding experience and one trackday under his belt)
Visits by Hotties (Red Bull Girls)
A possible bike show in Winooski (In conjunction with Vermont Sportbikes)
and Rides!
Sunday Morning Brunch
T**** Road tours
Long distance rides.
Rides to dealerships to show our support.
Charity rides.
Other ideas are welcome.
Also I am doing a Pitbike racing series 1 saturday a month starting in April/May and I am organizing a Motorcycle awareness day at the Champlain Valley Fair in May.![]()
Any HELP that ANYONE wants to offer to the Bike Night planning will be appreciated and will improve the sportbike community.
If anyone else would like to help me in planning the Pit Bike racing series or the motorcycle awareness day let me know.
Bike Night started with Motofreak and I but It has now grown to include a number of individuals who are helping to plan it. WE ("The Core") would be happy to have even more help I am sure.

Yup...I second that, well put Doc.
After our next planning session, we'll post up a more detailed list of things that are def. more concrete with updates on what we want to do.
We have lots of the table for this summer, which is awesome.
There is stuff in the works for everyone, whether you want to focus more on the Track or Pit Bikes Racing; posing and hanging out at Bike Night; day trips; weekend rides; the M.A.D event and hopefully the VTSB Sport Bike Day; along with getting to know our local dealers better; learning more about riding and your personal style; and finding some nice places to ride!
Super excited for this summer!!!!!
I agree, I-not we, suck at planning rides, my b...I def. meant to correct myself this morning. Thanks for taking care of that Mark!
I was at the gym with two beaufitul women last night, so it was an obvious choice to make
Whatever you guys come up with is awesome, I want to be more verbal this year about ground rules and making sure people are comfortable and acting appropriately. I still take the squids out though![]()

You did mention something about dealer sponsorship or something didn't you. PM me a number and we can talk.
I am looking at the calender and I think the first Official date will be... May 23rd.
Still have to clear that with the powers that be and there MAY be earlier invitation only dates but we shall see.![]()
