If the allegation holds up, sending his boss a text message while driving his Suzuki Boulevard Cruiser motorcycle will cost Joshua Kelly, 19, $156 and two points on his driver's license.


A state trooper on U.S. 7 in Waltham on Friday afternoon saw Kelly driving with one hand and "looking down," police said.

The trooper saw him hit the buttons on his cell phone with his thumb before stopping Kelly. Kelly admitted he had been texting, police said.

Texting while driving became illegal in Vermont on June 1.

Although it is stupid & illegal I sort of have to give props to the kid for being able to do it .

The most common phone use on wheels i have seen this summer was using the gps option on the phone no names though my68camaro

I don't get it...I use the gps features on my phone on the bike all the time, it's called navigation and my phone is sealed in a pelican case. Are you guys holding the phone with one hand trying to get a GPS signal?

THANKS FOR THE NO NAMES PART ...I still text on my phone while riding ....too hard to hear people talking thru my helmet expecially at 90 mph lol
