Nice seeing you Rob!

Awrighty folks....kinda rainy, but I'm hoping this'll be the weekend/day to break in the pit bike with Brett and Bill. Of course I've got to get through work first.
Ready to mount motard tires, and hopefully next weekend we can Kart track it...who wants to play??

Alright, much fun had tonight at Freak's house on the pitbike. After a little Carb cleaning, Brett got up and running, while Billy and I took turns on the Xtreme. Sure enough in the first 3 minutes, Billy had a low side, but the nice thing is that these things are meant for it.
Lots of mud, low sides, one high side by yours truly, a broken clutch lever, and a broken front and rear fender, and a great time was had by all. Parker enjoyed his first ride on a pit bike, although he realized small diameter turns were not his forte.
Hopefully Billy will post some pics...We snapped some amazing shots. Thanks Bill for giving a great place to ride. Now I'm stoked to get her into some pavement shoes and go dancing again.

I gotta admit...this damn pit bike thing is getting close to perfect for me. As a non-truck owner (yeah, I own a soccer mom car that's reliable and uses less gas and still has 4WD), I have been very worried about getting the pit-bike around...needing to call up Doc or Brett just to go ride it somewhere.
Well, Brett and I learned tonight that you don't need a truck to get one of these to your local Kart Track/Sand pit....just a station wagon.
From the Front:
Yup...makes these things downright convenient.

Brett and I discussed that...The load limit on my roof rack is 180lbs, but I think the real issue would be getting a front fork mount that would take the 15mm axle..then of course stabilization of a 80 lb bike might be tough with such a high CG. Bikes have a high CG, but they top out at 17-25lbs. It might work if I can get a fork mount to work...then there's lifting it up there.
Perhaps some winter racksmithing is in order.

im still striking out on finding a rear wheel. apparently, just like everything i own, finding parts for a sikk mx offbrand pit bike is impossible.

You can't find any Honda rear rims? Sikk hubs to lace up to an Excel rim?
