No, ill just race the r6 for round 1. Ill be missing round 2 so that gives me until round 3 to get it together

Needs ALOT of work. Mostly finding the bolts to mount everything (Coils, rearsets, etc)

Gotta be a hardware store/fastener supply in the area, we can just unload it in the parking lot to work on, and have a runner going in and out bringing bolts to test Thursday or Friday night. : )

Quick Question....

I am racing this weekend for the first time. How do #'s work in all this? I did get the race plastics on but have not had a chance to paint them and wont until after the BoMo track days after the races.

Do I need to bring some paint as I will need #'s on a certain back ground color.... I just want to be prepared for as much stuff as possible.

I'm hoping to meet some of ya up there and get someone to give my ride a once over to be sure I did everything correctly... Even if you need to molest it a bit.

AND.....I'm getting butterflies already..It must be getting close....

Make sure you have a white background on the plastics where the numbers will be, then when you get your number assigned at the end of the day Friday, you can buy stickers from the vendors at the track (Street and Comp, BoMo?, anyone else?)

So the white background is NOT a sticker... I guess I should go and paint my bike where the # will be ASAP...

You can buy white stickers at S&C as well.

And if the stickers wont work, you can buy white plastic plates you can ziptie to the bike.

my first season all i used was a roll of white contact paper from walmart, worked great

I've used white duct tape from walmart too. If you know your going to be painting the bodywork, don't go rattle can'ing paint on it... you'll just create a whole lot of work for you or someone else later on.

That is exactly what I want to do... I am thinking the white duct tape is a great idea to get me by till I get it painted correctly. That white contact paper may be another option. what ever will be easiest to get off, and stay on for the races....

Duct tape is sticky as all hell... I recommend sticking it to a pair jeans before applying to lessen the stickiness. Else go with the contact paper.

FWIW; I taped dirtbike plates with my race numbers onto Scottie's 800 when I raced it. I figured that was the easiest and most temporary method for number plate application Now I have 3 number plates to use whenever I'm racing someone else's bike.

I used a couple of 5 gallon white plastic pails I found around the track. Cut them open. Cut out some oval pieces. Used my heat gun and flattened them. Drill some holes. Ziptied them on. Red duct numbers. Presto!
