So with 20+ inches of snow forecasted for portions of New England and the skis collecting dust in the basement, I can't help but be optimistic and wonder when the rulebook and daily schedule tends to be posted for the year. I'm trying to figure out a budget and or decide how much I'll need to kiss my wife's a$$ to race both days instead of just one like this year.
Anyone know if any major changes are expected to either the rulebook or daily schedule? With the banquet happening semi-late, any chance they'll be a preview prior to?
Any word on if overnight fees will be charged this year?
Thanks,
Fitz
Don is working on the rulebook. We are not doing the meeting this year, so there shouldn't be the usual delay.
Camping and other track policy stuff I don't know about. Earlier this week, I officially learned that Bette French is retiring at the end of January. No word on the new Operations Manager, only that it won't be Wanda Dumas. Any decisions will be taken up by the new guy.

Awesome. Thanks!
Don's reply to me was possibly by the end of January. Best I can give you.

They cannot squeeze me for anymore $. Cut back on weekends if neccesary. I did cut the 'extra' weekend out in May last year to contain costs. I also went from 4 races per weekend to 2 races. I have recently gotten a second job to level fund the racing. They have done rather well holding costs but the rest of the world hasn't.
From the NEAR List today:
"Is the Club going to run the 09 Daily Schedule in 2010 or are we making changes? I see that the June (Classic) weekend (ASRA) is up and posted as the same as last year? So just asking."

"Don told me the other day that he does not plan any changes at this time."

I just received an announcement over at the Vintage List that the SRA (Sidecar Racers Association) has been contracted to put on the sidecar races at the 2010 Loudon Classic. This means that there will be the modern, puropose built "worm" rigs in addition to the vintage rigs. So whatever schedule is up right now will probably be different.
Also, my apologies for getting the 2-stroke fans' hopes up, it looks like USGPRU is not happening at Loudon this year.
