484 Race Report week #2

OK I enjoy reading everyone’s race reports so under some pressure from my pit crew ( Judy GT) I will give this a try

Friday
Got there @ 10:30 and saw the mess and went into a panic and found a garage to rent for the weekend ….took a lot of shit for being a garage snob but being in a garage rocks.
Paid for practice, got to tech and right on que it rained ……..felt good in practice 2,3,and 4

Saturday
Pussyed out on 1st (open) practice with slicks mounted.
2nd practice - worked on braking hard in 1,3and 6 felt good

Race 1,2,3 Crnerworked with Gino, Lou .Rob and Henry? in 3/10 and got some “tips” from Gino on how to do #9 and how not to do #10 - Thanks Gino

Race 8 Thunderbike
Looking forward to see if I can match up with Brian (RSP) He was with the ZTA kid and 808 last week and they bumped to AM
Not a great start and got pushed back watching instead of racing, then 1 of the other RSP guys crashed (on my old bike he borrowed ) with Jane (900ss) between 7-8 and I was on the outside and almost went with them. Ended up with 5th.

Race 10 LW superbike
Front row start with Brian (RSP) Good start and I leading into 1 (Holy shit)
I ride like he is on my ass the whole race and never look back to see where he is. Get my 1st win
On the cool down lap he is on the wall in nascar 4 , He tells me later he fell on the 1st lap ,
I never saw a waving yellow so I never looked for a bike

Race 12 LW Grand Prix
Get away 3rd Eric J #106, Brian C 501, then me
BC gets to the front and is opening a gap, I pass Eric in 3 and try to get 501 in view.
Lap 5 I can see and start getting closer to him but my drive out of 12 is killing me (I need big improvements there)
I think it’s the last lap and push and catch him at the line but the flag is white, get in front in #1 and stay there Get my 2nd win

Sunday
Morning practice I feel good and confident and try to get better RP in #6 but my lap times are nowhere near race times (Need to work on that too)

Race1 GTL
Get away 3rd behind 2 motards #501 Brian C and J Poole # 279 (haven’t met him)
279 goes to front and after a few laps I get into 2nd and stay there to the end ( Never saw the imposter wearing Narbone’s old leathers)

Overall a great weekend:
PB of 124.8
Got 1st and 2nd win
Going to bump to AM next weekend

Things to work on:
Consistency - my laps times need to be closer to each other - any of you fast guys have some ideas?
Figure out how not to shit my pants next week in the same race as 11, 98, Ox, Pete, Jersey and all the other white plates

supurb weekend jack 2 wins and a second can't complain about that. as for the tips on lap times i'm gonna start askin you Mr amature in the garage haha sweeeeeet run!!!!
